I came to Walnut Creek for the Hawkins Pistellian Rally downtown and figured I’d snag a burger before the Federalies showed up. I had planned on going to that burger joint on North Main, but when I heard all the hoopla about Mona’s Burgers and Shakes…that was it for me! I skidadled there straight away, and it’s a good thing to because when they brought out the water canons at the Rally to quell the anti Rally types all he’ll broke loose. I’ll yell you…I was as happy as a lone bull in a field of cows for that bacon cheeseburger from Mona’s Burgers it was truly exceptional..5 ☆☆☆☆☆

Mona’s Burgers and Shakes here in west Walnut Creek is a hidden gem!
The atmosphere is very pleasant, creating a cozy spot to relax and enjoy a meal, even though it’s a bit small on the inside. The service was excellent—polite and always with a smile, which added to the overall welcoming vibe. The highlight for me was the berry shake, which was extremely delicious and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet. A bit behind the prices side though.
Definitely a place worth coming back to!

Been here a few times before. Don’t do burgers often but when we do this is were we go. Wasn’t busy on our visit and we opted to sit outside on the patio. It was windy bit luckily the patio is shielded fairly well.
Ordered the drunken burger this time. Burgers come with greens when dining in not fries so you need to order those separately. Ordered large fries to split with my fiancée and ordered a strawberry lemonade to drink.
Fries were excellent, don’t always get shoestring fries from places by choice but these were excellent. Burger was wonderful. They do serve shakes but there was no way I was getting anything for dessert after because I was stuffed. Excellent place to get a fancy burger.

Mediocre at best. The burger is decently sized, however for the price the taste and texture is just ok. Pretty much a steakhouse burger but $16+.
Their appetizers weren’t great either. I had salad and chicken tenders, the tenders are super dry and the flavor is weird. Salas was ok.
Took 25-30mins for me to get my burger and tenders, real slow service. Just not good value, for the price you can get a much better burger.

Been here 3 times over the last 8 months.
Pros: great locations, lots of parking, and great food.
Cons: the service is terrible we didn’t receive drinks or water 2/3 times, never once check one us, lastly waited a long time for a waiter (fyi don’t go during happy hour unless you know want you want)

Located in a small shopping center , this small burger place is definitely worth coming to.. our burgers & fries & shakes were the happy hour orders and it was just enough.. $21.00 for everything..not to bad. I’ll be coming back .. I recommend this place… (If u like my post please “like”)

This was a nice surprise. I didn’t expect such a well prepared burger in a bit of a far location. Burgers were great, sweet potatoes crunchy and tasty onion rings. Fantastic customer service and plenty of parking. Gotta try the Drunken burger! sooo gooooood!

First time visiting Mona’s. During the covid restrictions, figuring out where to sit, how to find a table, etc was not well defined. However, after we sat down, we were served right away! The service was on point. We were checked in on often, and our food came out in under 10 minutes!
Happy hour is a great way to get introduced to their food. My husband and I both had the burger and fries. I love the freedom to choose from their regular menu for the style of burger and fries.
The burgers are super flavorful and the fries cooked well. The milk shake was thick and creamy.
We will for sure be back to try some more items, especially now that we know where to sit!
