I come here since I moved to modesto and it the only place I will go for my salvi cravings. I even catered from here for my baby shower big hit. From the pan con pollo to the pupusas along with the nugados yummmm. Will keep coming hasn’t disappointed me any of the times I came. Oh plus I love salvadorian horchata more then the regular and the fruit drink super refreshing. If I cant go in person I doordash it im salvi and know what good food is.

Today my family and i went through the drive thru. We placed our order and got asked to wait in the front for our food we waited about 18mins I was a bit frustrated but the food was hot and fresh the staff was very busy so it’s understandable.
I have come here many times through the last few years the food is great! Its always delicious, hot, and fresh with great quality.
The prices have slowly increased and seem to do so annually.
The customer base has also increased so they are busy more on the weekends.
They have a drive thru and a dinning room.
The prices online are not accurate so I will attach a picture of the menu.

I couldn’t finish my plate. I ordered the mix plate with pupusas plátanos casamiento and sour cream.
The horchata was mid. And I love horchata de el salvador. De moro. This was not it.
The pupusas were bland the curtido was bland and the salsa was cold. Also bland.
The casamiento was mushy and so much onion and the onion was raw!
I’ll pass on this place next time. The customer service was also lacking. The waitress was not friendly at all. In this economy I’d be friendlier to my customer if I’d want them to come back.

I was told about this place from a friend of mine. I was craving pupusas and this place definitely has it. It’s in the name. The food was amazing. The beans and rice were so flavorful. The pupusas are delicious. I got both the pork, cheese and spinach and just cheese and spinach. I also ordered some fried plantains and that was a great addition for dessert. I recommend this place if you ever crave Salvadorian food.

That place ripped me of asked for two different types of pupusas in total 4 pupusas and only got 2 pupusas for $13.00. My friend told me about this place that is ” good-ish” I guess NOT. Horrible experience…NEVER AGAIN!!!

Tried this little gem today and I was pleased.I ordered the 2 papussas plate which came with slaw ,sauce and rice and beans. My papussas were chicharon y cheese. Decent portions with awesome flavors. The place was clean the staff was friendly and I will be going back again to try something else.

As a parent, your kids are the ultimate critics when it comes to food. Sometimes it’s too hot, sometimes too cold, and sometimes they don’t like it and they can’t tell you why. Even things they liked the first time they don’t like the second time. Our 3 year old said to me once, “No daddy. Even though I liked broccoli last time I don’t like it this time even though it’s cooked in butter with bacon and then cheese poured over the top.” I’m translating liberally of course because what he actually said was “yuck” and then threw it across the room. So when they ate and liked the pupusas we bought here I felt more relief than when my cray cray ex finally went to prison. We bought cheese, chicken, and steak and the chicken was the best by a mile. The surprise of the meal was when our 3 year old tried the salsa and said, “Can I drink that?” My wife and I shared a look of surprise complete with raised eyebrows and then we both tried it. He was right. It tasted like the color blue in a world of mediocre grays. He drank it before we had much of a chance to use it on the pupusas but that just means we’ll have to go here again even if it’s just for the salsa.
