This is Tex-Mex cuisine at its best! Tia’s is often lumped in with Taco Cabana and Las Palapas… but make no mistake, Tia’s on St. Mary’s is in a league of its own.
We had the green enchiladas (verdes like but spicier), and the deluxe plate (cheese enchiladas, tamales, rice and refried beans). Chef’s kiss!
The spice level was perfect, and unlike some Tex-Mex, complimented the cheese and wasn’t overpowered by it. The refried beans were smoky and peppery… perfect!
Even the rice, usually an afterthought, was flavorful and fresh.
The service was above and beyond. The ladies were friendly, kind, and helpful. True hospitality.
I highly recommend this San Antonio staple… cheers!

This is my favorite Tia’s taco hut…but Orale! They forgot to add the meat on side the bone was larger…come on now are you all on a meat shortage also…se salieron! Caldo is not cheap…I paid basically 11.90 for veggies…shame that what I get for drive thru on my way to work….shame

First of all , im very picky takes alot to impress me, but today I was blown away by the pure love and professionalism I was given when I ordered at Tia’s . Salma at DT was the sweetest and down to earth person I met at any restaurant, very friendly. I called and spoke with Lucy and she was also very sweet , I think that was her name the manager . Anyways I def recommend! Def going back very soon to try their menudo I believe its honeycomb ! Thank you Tias for making my day that much brighter it was more than just the food .

I was on a time limit, drove around in a 45ft motorcoach looking for a decent meal. They walked around me like I was spirt! But serviced everyone before me. I waited 20mins patiently and respectfully. The servers never look my way!

I went to Tias Taco hut this morning and ordered 2 bacon and egg tacos with strip bacon and a large unsweetened tea with sweet and low. I ordered in the drive through in which I waited 11 min. After sitting and waiting, I received my order and continued to work. When I got to my office, I opened my food and I got 2 hot dog and egg tacos with so much grease dripping out of the bag it stained by pants. I didnt order hot dogs and eggs, I ordered bacon and eggs and when I looked in my bag, there was no artificial sweetener in in and I even asked the woman at the window directly for some sweet and low in which she replied okay. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any taco establishment in the city. I definitely recommend no one go here if you want accurate orders. I know I sound like I am disgruntled but I can assure you I am not. After waiting in a drive through window for over 10 min for 2 tacos and a tea, I have the right to be upset and leave a negative comment when they gave me a completely incorrect order.

7-2-2The food was amazing but the price was a bit steep for quantity. The bbq plate was 9.99 but I added the eggs for extra. The fajita portion was also small but tasted really good. The tortilla soup had all the right flavors. The flour tortillas was fresh, and super soft. The waitress did not come back for refills of drinks but came after we all finished to give us the check.
Update: used drive thru 7-8-22 and the lady was rude very slow had us waiting at the window after paying about 5 minutes before telling us they ran out of rice for our plates. The food is good but I probably won’t be using this location again.

This was a very good visit to a new restaurant for breakfast. I had tacos which were huge, stuffed and really good for only$1.99. The other plates looked great as well (photo) with plenty of food.
The service was very friendly and on top of filling my cup with more coffee (really small coffee mugs).
I’ll be sure to visit each time I come back to San Antonio.

I went in there for their lunch on Friday afternoon. I got the food was good, but unfortunately, the staff are super unfriendly at least that’s how I felt when I walked in and was getting served. I feel like they were annoyed about me being there I probably will never dine in again. I’ll probably stick to the drive-through like I have been. I hope someday they fix that so I couldn’t like actually enjoy their food because I think it’s pretty good

Food is good, but reason for low rating is the charge to customers to use bathroom. I understand there was a parade same day but for customers who purchasing food & drinks shouldn’t have to pay. And $3 bucks each use is crazy to use bathroom. Disappointed in the service.

Have been to this restaurant twice. The service has been terrible both times. The first time there was only 1 waitress in the front, sitting down and on her phone, facing away from the customers.
The second time was a few days ago. We sat there for about 5 minutes while 2 waitress were just standing around looking bored. Then one walked up to the other one and they started chatting. We got up and walked out. Will never go to this restaurant again.
