We ordered both mini and full size pies for our wedding and they were wonderful! Laura was able to make some gluten free which was amazing (and they were decorated so beautifully.) Ordered a Dutch apple pie and a French silk pie for Thanksgiving! This was my first time trying your pies and they were the best pies I have ever had! The pie crust was perfect, flaky and light! The French silk pie filling was silky smooth and had a great chocolate flavor and the whip cream was delicious! The homemade crumble on the Dutch apple was so delicious and the apples were seasoned perfectly! Will definitely be coming back! Happy Thanksgiving!

Homemade pie shop in little ol’ Bondurant. First time trying their pies for this year’s Thanksgiving, and we’ll be back for as long as we can eat pie. The pumpkin pie was great, but that dutch apple was so good the family was fighting over it! And I don’t even like apple pie that mutch. Has got to be the best around and you can never go wrong supporting such a nice local store.

The customer service here is second-to-none. I arrived within a few minutes of opening and already they were almost sold out of so many options (this is a popular place!). I got a flight of 4 mini pies (strawberry, Dutch letter, custard, and cherry). They’re adorable and very tasty. Nothing to complain about here, but arrive early for the best selection!

First time purchasing pies today 5-25-24. We had a date night planned so we came right when they opened and picked out a flight to enjoy after dinner because I had been craving pie for a few days. OMG.. these we so delicious and full of flavor! We will definitely get them again! We got Bahama Mama (our favorite), Dolly Partons Walnut (close second), peanut butter cream (this one was in last place for us), and classic key lime (3rd place and SO full of flavor). The service was nothing over the top but the girl running the register and grabbing pies for people was friendly.

We are driving from Colorado to Florida in our RV. My husband asked me to make a pie the morning we woke up in Des Moines. I said I can make a pie happen for dessert tonight.
Googled my way to Home Slice and boy was it right. I emailed and asked for a Raspberry Rhubarb Pie (it was on the weekly menu for that week) and the ladies said they could make it happen even though they were not open on Wednesdays.
Stopped by in the afternoon in the CUTEST town and Home Slice store was sooooo beautiful and smelled divine. The owner was lovely, kind and greeted me with a smile. I was so grateful to them for making this pie short notice.
Just served it up and it was incredible. Perfect sweet and light crust. Filling that was tart and sweet and held together when cut. No soggy bottom. It took all of my family’s self control to save some for tomorrow night.
My biggest regret about this place is
1) I live so far away.
2)I didn’t buy two pies
Love you HOME SLICE!! I’ll be back if I am ever back in the area.
