Quick Review – generous portions and prices from 15 years ago. Food is solid.
Long Review – Found place while looking for a cheese steak local to the area I was in. Definitely an older establishment it is more set up for grabbing food to go.
Food – I got a Philly cheese steak. It was good. I would have listed it as amazing if the meat was seasoned a bit better. But it was tasty
Service – our order taker was attentive and kind. Super friendly and helpful.
Atmosphere – it’s a get food and go place or to eat and go. Not a hang out or have meal and conversation at place.

It’s exactly what you want in a locally family-operated deli! You will find Joe or his son taking your order and serving their perfectly cooked burgers or perfectly crafted sandwiches. Grab a cold soda from the cooker and a bag of chips and wait in the green patio chairs for your meal!

I stopped eating here after witnessing repeated and unacceptable sanitation issues in the kitchen. Multiple times, I watched a kitchen employee touch her face, nose, and ears and then immediately resume making food without washing her hands. On one occasion, she was handling a trash bag right before preparing my burger.
There was also an older employee visibly sick with a runny nose who continued working around food all week. This is beyond unprofessional and completely unsanitary.
Basic food safety and hand-washing standards are clearly not being enforced. This is a serious health concern, not a minor issue. I’m extremely disappointed because I was planning to eat here daily, but I won’t risk my health.
Management needs to stop cutting corners and hire trained, professional kitchen staff who understand basic hygiene. Until then, I cannot recommend eating here.

Wow. Wonderful Deli. We stopped for lunch here on two different days. I had the bowl of chili and a pastrami poboy with spicy mustard. The chili was all meat. Fine grind like a hotdog topping. No frills. It was fantastic. Today I had the gumbo. It was very tasty and quite filling. Nice pieces of sausage and chicken. If I return to Houston, I will eat here again.

This place here is such an amazing place. We were recommended to Joe’s Deli and have since been huge fans of their homestyle burgers. They offer various meals hubby enjoyed their Philly cheese steak w onion rings.

Great Deli, really fresh delicious bread, amazing Cheesesteaks. I can’t wait to come back and try the burger. Reminds me of Antones in the 80s. I love the golf anesthetic. Perfect place to grab a quick cheap bite.
