Stopped in at Patrick’s Cedar Chest and overall had a great experience. The food was hearty, filling, and clearly made to satisfy a hungry crowd. I ordered the taco salad, and the portion size was generous with fresh toppings, a crispy shell, and good flavor throughout. It definitely hit the spot.
The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, fitting the name perfectly, and the service was friendly and welcoming. You can tell this is a local spot that takes pride in what they serve.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the food could have been just a bit hotter when it came out, but the taste and portion more than made up for it.
I’d absolutely come back and recommend this place if you’re looking for solid comfort food in a relaxed setting.

First off they have great food, we had the smothered chicken breast and it was delicious and perfectly cooked. I feel the best food around. The drinks are a great price. Its a smaller space so definitely can get crowded but so worth it. Great lake view with big windows in the bar. Unfortunately they dont have car races on the lake any more in winter but still worth the drive. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

We were told by locals that Patrick’s was highly recommended, so on Sunday evening at 7pm we stopped by with 16 people. They had 1 server & bartender, we had fantastic service all around! Great place, give them a try !
Highly Recommend!

I would have given it a zero if I could. The worst service I have ever gotten in the area. Took 20 minutes to take our drink order then when we finally got to order food took it took forever and when it finally came they served two people at our table the wrong food they said “sorry, but nothing we can do it’s the kitchens fault” and wasn’t willing to correct the mistakes so they had to eat wrong food. All food was either burnt or cold. And one person at our table waited an hour extra 30 minutes for her food. Better places in the area go there!!!! But ice was ok.

Servers very obviously overloaded but did an alright job. Ribs were among the worst I’ve ever eaten. Overcooked and soaked in a bitter sauce, tasted like a battery. Might come back for another try, if there’s a new menu sometime.

First time there. Food was awesome and service was great. Our waitress was attentive and kept checking in with us. The owner came over and greeted us and was helping out the restaurant staff. Very friendly people.
The smothered chicken was very good and the walleye sandwich was so big, it could have fit on two hoagies! The only thing I would suggest is to have the smoker’s move away from the entrance. Heavy smoke walking in and out of the restaurant.

Beware of asking the bartender for a menu too quickly (it’s not her job), you will be chastised with a sarcastic shaming response caused by triggering. Sometimes when someone asks for quick service, it’s not about being demanding — they might just be trying to help someone else or manage a time constraint, like getting their senior citizen parent to an appointment on time. In the HOSPITALITY industry kindness and empathy matter just as much as efficiency and your personal triggers should be LEFT AT HOME or worked through with your THERAPIST, who might just suggest a career change out of hospitality.

My family and I had amazing burgers and wings here. Don’t let other older reviews steer you away. This was a great find and the better of the pub/tavern food places in the area. Four stars for a tavern is really five stars
