The staff was attentive all meal. We started with the French onion soup. The onions carefully prepared and perfectly cooked. Every single one. We then went 12oz PRIME center cut Filet and 8oz prime filet. Incredible and PERFECTLY cooked. We paired it with white wine and had an incredible time. Will return.

The wine list was extensive, the food was delicious. Best lobster bisque and tuna tartare to start. Also loved the wedge salad. Filet was delicious. Saved room for the chip witch. Worth it!

We had a 7:00 reservation and were seated a bit before 7:00. Bread was brought to the table quickly, however, after 20 minutes of not even receiving water, I went to the hostess stand to ask about service. Our waitress then came to the table, did not even introduce herself, played around with her notebook and asked what we wanted. For a restaurant that charges high end pricing for the food, the service was suboptimal. I’ve had more attentive service at a fast food restaurant.
The food was decent but I will not be returning.

We visited Avalon Prime Steakhouse last night and had a mixed experience. There were definitely some highs and a few lows.
Our server, Karlee, had a great attitude and provided friendly, attentive service early on. She’s new and could use more training on the wine list and bar selections, and it seemed like she had too many tables—about halfway through dinner, we didn’t see her again.
The biggest issue, however, was with the kitchen. While a few items were good, overall the food lacked the wow factor we were expecting. There were noticeable issues with timing and quality on several dishes. That said, the manager was very kind, checked in with us, comped a steak, and took care of dessert, which we appreciated.
It genuinely felt like we caught them on an off night. With a few adjustments, this place has the potential to be a top-notch experience.

Avalon Prime Steakhouse offers a top-notch dining experience with excellent service, delicious food, and an impressive wine list. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the seafood is fantastic, and so was our service (Lisa). The elegant, coastal atmosphere makes it a great spot for a special night out.

We were excited to check out Avalon Prime. Unfortunately very disappointed in the overall experience. Our waitress was a lovely and attentive at first and then went completely MIA. It took 1 hour for appetizers to arrive and another for steaks to finally come out. We kept being told the kitchen was backed up but that was hard to believe as the restaurant was only half full. God help them when they are packed. We finally flagged the manager as we wanted to at least get our drinks freshened as we waited. He apologized and said he would comp a few things. He only comped one glass of wine. We didn’t even bother complaining as that would have taken forever like the rest of the meal. This restaurant needs to work out its kinks if it wants to be a true steak house. The steaks were fine but the over all experience is not worth the high end price.

We were excited to try this place as a break from the same fine dining spots. As a place that’s trying to advertise as fine dining with fine dining prices, this place was just meh. We were greeted by the hostesses that had the typical Avalon attitude. Had a reservation and didn’t get seated until 30 minutes later. Got in and the place was empty. The wine list was extensive, but over priced compared to other fine dining places. The food was just meh. The staff was young, I get you have to start somewhere, but they didn’t seem too trained, which isn’t their fault. Often times there wouldn’t be any servers on the floor for 20-30 minutes at a time. Save your money and go to Cape May.

We had a great meal with fantastic service by Jess! The filets and pork chop were all prepared to perfection. The deviled eggs and seared tuna starters were delicious. Great wines and drinks. Only negative was a very loud atmosphere, making is challenging to talk. But overall, it was a great dining experience and we’ll be back! It’s a great addition to rhe 7 MI dining scene.
