Great food honestly everyone loved their dishes for the most part! The cheese curds were the best cheese curds I’ve had in my life and I am usually NOT a cheese curds person. The cornbread was on the drier side however and extremely crumbly. I will say perhaps the prices are a smidge too high? food itself was great. Me and one other person got full just sharing the cheese curds so there’s definitely enough of the portion; environment is quaint and dimly lit with some fun art and colors around. Their menu is diverse and there are gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options as well. I would say all the dishes are shareable so because of that the price per head is pretty reasonable

Anthony, excellent job making us feel welcome. Got me covered with the rye manhattan. Spot on! Recommended local favorites and caterered to our every desire. Appetizers were spectacular. Loved the Seoul Bites!

Menu has a nice mix of options to pick from. We settled on the Meat & Potato and Not Grandma’s Meatloaf sandwich. Ribeye was pretty good and cooked how I ordered. Calling the potato “hassleback” is a stretch, let’s just call it halved baked potato with a few cuts – but I’m being picky. They have an interesting list of cocktails, wines and beers. I had their C.U. Cosmo which was nicely made and also tried their Blueberry Crumble Beer – pretty good. It’s a nice space that has interesting decor and spacious seating – at least you don’t feel stuffed in their like sardines. Overall we had a great time and would return again to try some of the other plates.

Culinary Underground has a good and fairly unique menu. I had the fried balogna sandwich with a salad and my wife had the soup and sandwich special. The chicken pot pie soup was excellent as were our sandwiches. We had sangria mocktails which were superb. Our server was Anthony and he was attentive and helpful. 5 stars all the way around!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Culinary Underground – A Hidden Gem Worth Returning To

We stopped into Culinary Underground and ended up having one of the most unexpectedly fantastic meals we’ve had in a while. My friend had Thanksgiving leftovers and I had Not Just Friday Fish Fry and both dishes were absolutely on point — comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The strawberry margaritas were the perfect bonus: refreshing, balanced, and dangerously easy to enjoy.

But the real standout of the night was Anthony, our bartender/waiter. He was the bomb — friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun to talk to. He kept the drinks flowing, the vibe relaxed, and the whole experience smooth from start to finish.

If you’re looking for great food, great drinks, and even better service, Culinary Underground is absolutely worth a visit. We will definitely be back.

This place is solidly average. The food is what you would call bar food, and is not bad for the price. There is a good selection of beers and cocktails available.

This is an excellent place for luncheon, service was very good, Anthony is a supremely good waitperson, he made you feel right at home. The food was very, very good, good portion sizes.
The Meatloaf sandwich was fantastic, so we’re the cheese curds.

Honestly I’ve been coming here for a long time. I’ve always had an okay experience. Today i was blown away by the service from Anthony. He was prompt and very attentive, not to mention one of the best personalities I’ve encountered here. Extremes professional yet very personable. He informed us of the specials, made recommendations, and suggested additional items i didn’t even know i needed and wanted. The food was great but there is great food everywhere, he is the reason i will be recommending the Tower to everyone i know plus some. Thank you for hiring such a great individual to promote and represent your business the way it needs to be.

This was a negative experience and we will not be back. Upon arrival, we were told that the kitchen closed at 10, to later be told that the whole place closed at 10. If we had known this ahead of time, we would not have ordered. The server was clearly not pleased that we stayed. If she had just told us, we wouldn’t have stayed.
For the price, the $14 drinks were not even filled. The meals were also subpar. And we left most of the Green Goddess salad, and the Seoul Bites were inedible.

Both the food and server get 0 stars from our table. In the future, if it is inconvenient to have guests, just say it from the get go and save both of us the pain.
