I came for their seasonal grand opening. It was crazy busy! The line was like 20 minutes long. But hey, the ice cream was great, lots of choices.

Very creamy and delicious ice cream. The scoop portions are generous. I had the chocolate marshmallow and it had a great ratio of marshmallow to chocolate. Loved the classic look of the interior of the building.

This place sells Hershey’s ice cream and was pretty good. They had lots of unique flavors and had no sugar added flavors, too. The place is pretty large inside. The only reason for the 4 stars is they only have 6 chairs outside and no tables/chairs inside. There was plenty of room to add some seating. While we were there several families came and there was hardly room for all to sit. There is ample parking.

Some outdoor sitting and no indoor sitting – however. A lot of options to pick from, staff are friendly enough to let us sample. Will come back when in town. Also, have ice cream option for your fur baby.

My son and I set out with the noblest of intentions: exercise! On a blistering hot day, no less. We were nearing our turnaround point, feeling all virtuous, when BAM! Rakestraw’s appeared like a mirage (a delicious, air-conditioned mirage). Our “good intentions” melted faster than a scoop on the asphalt, replaced by pure, unadulterated joy. This isn’t just ice cream, folks; it’s a divine intervention. And the staff? So friendly, they probably smiled as they watched our fitness goals evaporate. Seriously, better than most. Had to stop and grab a scoop and a hot dog for the Food truck Fridays. I got the raspberry truffle chocolate. It was amazing. I broke my spoon a couple times besides that couldn’t have asked for a better little treat after work. Fun, nostalgic trip.
