This is a really nice place! I got my Sunday bloody and had their Sunday $1 wings special. I want to come back with a little group and sit in the fireplace area. McKenzie was super personable.

Cheese curds were really good. From there it went down hill. Had clam chowder and it barely had any taste to it and kind of mealy texture to it. Next I had double smash burger. Tasteless and greasey. Supposedly it had haystack onion rings on it, couldn’t find or taste them. Coleslaw tasted like they just ground the cabbage and poured a little sauce on it at the last minute. Pricey for the portions. Will not be going back there soon. As a reply they told me coleslaw doesn’t have cabbage in it(?) and they don’t have haystack onion rings on their menu. Look on their menu.

I’ve been here many times for lunch and they have great sandwiches. Last Saturday a friend suggested we go there for Prime Rib. The appetizers were great. I had the Wagyu steak, which was excellent.
I would say their dinners are on the higher cost. The Wagyu steak was $65, the Prime Rib $40 – $48.00
I would recommend Ella’s for dinner, but there lunches are great!!

Driven by several times and decided o give it a try. Old fashioned was great. Food was excellent. We had the Ella’s chicken, the French dip sandwich, and the Ribeye. All were delicious! And those mashed potatoes were yummy! Definitely coming back to try other meals. Only thing to make it more perfect would haystack onion rings as an app, hint hint.

Went to Ellas for the first time this evening with my partner.
Got right in and seated at a lovely table near the window and in view of the fireplace. Server was very prompt, friendly and attentive.
Food presentation was great!
We ordered the cauliflower wings app as well as the steak bites, and for entrees went for a porterhouse for them and fried chicken for myself. The apps and sides were fantastic! My wings were perfect and crunchy and the parm garlic sauce was lovely. Their steak bites were juicy and flavorful and the cornbread it came with was great as well. The tomato soup was also flavorful and clearly made fresh.
The entrees were the only disappointment- his steak was rather bland aside from the horseradish sauce he ordered with it, and my fried chicken was overdone and extremely greasy.
Our sides however were amazing! We both got garlic mash, which was creamy and flavorful, and I had the mac n cheese, which was rich and delicious.
Overall, a good experience , and we were happy to have supported a local business.

We ordered two Cowboy burgers and cheese curds for takeout tonight and the food wasvery underwhelming and overpriced. My food was 15 minutes late and instead of having haystack onions strings, as described in the menu, each burger had just one soggy onion ring. There was also hardly any bbq sauce on them, so we had to add our own. The cheese curds were so salty you could hardly taste the cheese. Delafield Brewhouse and Waterstreet Brewery both make much better tasting burgers and curds. I won’t be cheating on them with Elle’s again.

Ella’s was near a friend’s house so we decided to stop there for dinner. It’s nice inside with ample room. Expansive drink menu with a good selection of bourbons. I got a Four Roses on the rocks. We got some cheese curds for an appetizer that was good. It a mix of white and yellow curds. I got a side salad and then the Tomahawk Chop, which is a bone in pork chop. There was an apple chutney on the chop, which was very good. It came with mashed potatoes and choice of vegetables, and I chose the asparagus. Overall, a positive experience. I really liked the old posters on the walls for Milwaukee beer companies. I will be back.

I originally went here with my friend before he moved to his new place and the food and service was great. And then I came back just tonight with my family because they didn’t want to do just another fast food place again so I recommended this place and once again great food great service. The burger I got was just the right amount of juicy but not dry at all either. the frys were soft and nice and warm in the middle crispy and delicious. and the cheese curds are a must get item so crispy salty and cheesy and they had a pretty good amount of cheese pull plus there even great by themselves if your someone that doesn’t like dip and omg the desert I got a smores brownie it was amazing to and came with ice cream.and everyone else loved their food as well plus the prices are fair and it’s just a really cool place to look around in. So guys you really just can’t loose here it’s just an all around win.

Good service. Had beer batered fish fry just like always. Past fish fry was always good, Tonight was a completely Different fish served. Preformed triangle of something. Dry. Thin, nasty tasting product. Ate two bites just because the first bite was so bad I couldn’t believe the first bite could be that bad. Terrible! .
Told waitress about fish and she said she noticed that it was different than before.
I paid full price, not even a visit from manager. Very disappointed. Been going here often in the past. Good thing was meat loaf was good.

First time trying this place and will be back. The cheese curds were my favorite by far. You could tell that they were fresh not frozen and they reminded me of the ones at State Fair which are hard to find. Also the customer service and attentiveness of the the waitress, Kathy, was better than I have had in a long time. She was so kind and truly made it a very positive experience.
