If you’re traversing Hwy 29 between Green Bay and Minneapolis like we do frequently, sometimes you want to find a local spot – the Abby Cafe fits that bill. Good food, good service, and quick on/off to Hwy 29. Stop in – it’s worth it

It was a nice place to stop for a simple sandwich. It was quiet which we appreciated. We had a BLT with chips and water. We came back in the morning for breakfast. Eggs. Our server was quiet and efficient. The price was reasonable. The food was good.

It’s your local diner food. Friendly staff, cost effective menu items with lots to choose from. Was disappointed in the quality of the food.. the omelet had kraft singles on it (they have a sign stating they are in the heart of America’s Dairyland, or something to that degree). Bacon was dry and lacked flavor.

We only get to eat here twice a year – coming from Minnesota and going home after a stay at Door County. We love the food – the chef must be an amazing person to have such a huge menu, and everything cooked with precision to be delicious. On the way we had a breakfast of bacon, eggs, hash browns and an English muffin. On the way home my wife had a huge lasagna with salad and garlic toast and I had the two piece cod dinner with salad, veggies and sweet potato fries. Everything was really delicious!! See you next September!!

The breakfast was really good. You can get pancakes instead of toast and the taste great! Definitely will stop back there.

The chicken dumpling soup was great.
But when the rest of the food came out. It wasnt the hottest. But still good flavor.
Will be back to try more things on the menu.

Generous meals have a home cooked feeling at terrific prices
Fast efficient and friendly service. I had catfish filets. Very tasty! Loved the hash browns. Wanted to try the Monday special of meat loaf, but will have to go back.

Abby Cafe has been around for a long time. And yet, its always clean interior looks fresh. The menu provides a number of homestyle cooked meals that are delicious and reasonably priced, served by friendly, efficient waitstaff.

Being almost midway between Green Bay Wisconsin and Minnesota’s Twin Cities, you’ll find the clientele to be a mixture of local regulars and travelers. Oftentime, these travelers are somewhat “regulars” in that when they travel between the two locations, they look forward to a good home cooked style sit-down meal at the halfway point.

Next time you’re traveling through Wisconsin, I recommend stopping at the Abby Cafe for a real treat of good food and good service. Oh, and make sure you leave some room for their delicious bread pudding, baked pies (their mile-high lemon meringue is to die for) and cakes.
