This place was phenomenal. I’m coming here at least once a week and I’ll make up for it in the gym. My fish was fried hard just like it should be. Shrimp was a good size. Fries were good quality and the hush puppies were delicious. The gentleman were kind, attentive and prompt. My food was fresh. I’ve been looking for a consistent fish fried fish that does cornmeal aside from popups and this place did not disappoint.

Everything here starting with customer service to the food is unmatched. The prices are very reasonable. The food is good. It’s not overly seasoned the fish taste like fish and not salt but the red beans and rice now that hits different. This is definitely my new go to spot.

The food was amazing! We had a #9 shrimp and fish, #10 shrimp and fish, and fried pickles. Sides: hush puppies, fries, red beans and rice. Sauces tartar sauce cocktail sauce, hot sauce, and ranch. The tartar sauce and cocktail sauce looked and tasted homemade, they were so good. The hot sauce pairs perfectly with the fried pickles nothing else tastes better or does it justice but you don’t need sauce on them because they are great without the sauce. The shrimp and fish were fresh and cooked to perfection. I don’t eat chicken but my daughter said it was great. Best hush puppies in Bakersfield. Fries were nice and crispy, red beans were very good. Omar was very friendly and welcoming. First time most definitely will not be the last.

I tried the chicken tenders, fish, and shrimps and everything was amazing. the most interesting thing was the fried okra which was new to me and everyone should try it. the sauces were also super tasty.

I ordered the three-piece fish and chicken strips. They were freshly made and hit the spot. I would’ve given a 5 stars for being a small fast food restaurant but the very little communication from the employee taking the order and the lack of soap/paper towels in the bathroom

Ordered the 4pc fish with fries and hush puppies. When i opened my plate, the fries reeked of burnt oil! I was hopeful that the fries wouldn’t taste like burnt oil, but when I ate one, they very much did. Very disappointing, especially when your looking forward to eating fresh cooked fries with your fried fish. The fish was a bit overly salty but still enjoyable and did not have a burnt oil taste. PLEASE DISCARD YOUR BURNT COOKING OIL. DO NOT CONTINUE TO COOK FOOD IN BURNT OIL.

I dropped by to try this place out! I ordered the fish/shrimp combo. Delicious! Great seasoning, hush puppies and coleslaw yummy. Price was fair. So glad this place opened up this side of town. I ordered take home but the place is clean and in order. Going back soon.

I highly recommend Chick o Fish. The fried fish, shrimp, okra, and chicken strips are all crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. The service is fast, the staff is friendly, and everything is super clean. You don’t have to wait long for your order either. One of the best spots for comfort food. Highly recommended!
