I just got into town for the week for business. I didn’t want fast food, did a search to find something near my hotel. This placed popped up, had one bad review and several very good reviews. Was willing to give the place a chance. Wish I didn’t go here at all

This is the worst pulled pork I have had in 20+ yrs! It is dry, lukewarm and the roll appears to be day old bread. Mac n cheese had dried macaroni on top, the temp was uneven throughout, this was clearly reheated in a microwave. Cornbread is the best part of this horrible meal.

I have had BBQ in St Louis, Texas, Arkansas, NC and places in between. Do not go here! This time BBQ, it is warmed over leftovers. No flavor, no seasoning.

Save your stomach, tastebuds and money.

EDIT: the corn bread is MOLDY!!! Seriously what is wrong with this place??

To say that our visit to smokehouse BBQ and burgers in Orem was disappointing is an understatement. On our outing we let our son choose our eatery for lunch, we are all fans of BBQ, and always looking for the next great place…. this was not it! Upon walking inside, the smell was AMAZING, we were hopeful in that aspect alone! The menu was not huge, but had plenty of options to choose from, to not make it overwhelming. My husband chose the 2 meat platter with mash and fries chicken and brisket, my son the 1 meat with onion rings, fries and chicken. Myself the spring chicken salad with a side of Mac and cheese.

The food came out fast. We barely had sat down, the staff was pleasant and upbeat as well. Getting our food it looked good at first glance, but very bland, thankfully they have a great supply of in house sauces… however, we soon came to find that it wouldn’t help. The Mac and cheese was basically buttered noodles with no flavor. None of the meat was seasoned, and the portion sizes were adorably small. My husband’s chicken was Luke warm, brisket almost cold and extremely tough… My salad had translucent tomatos and lettuce and the flavor was all off and tasted old probably to the frozen lettuce and tomatoes that went into it (literally other than the stale bread chunks on top is all that went into it other than the cold chicken) The cheese on top was rock hard and flavorless as well. My sons onion rings were chewy and tasted flat, if that is even a flavor. The only thing they had that tasted good and everyone ate was the fries … basic shoe string fries … and their strawberry lemonade that my son loved…

Unfortunately, this is not anywhere I will go again, or even recommend for anyone to go. The staff was amazing, atmosphere BEAUTIFUL … but I came for the food… I threw my whole $13 salad in the trash and ate the buttered noodles because those can’t really go wrong …(Mac and cheese as it’s on the menu) I’d just recommend some flavor… seasoning..something

Great food, decently friendly staff. Sunnyside up egg had some uncooked egg white “snot” but other than that the meat tasted good and the fries were pretty good too.

That was hands down one of the BEST burgers I’ve had and it was HUGE!! I got the cowboy burger combo with sweet potato fries on a Monday so it didn’t break the bank. I would highly recommend going Monday to get this special because it was just that good!!!

We had the specialty platter that comes with all this meat below! Omg the meat is delicious and there selection of BBQ Sauces are to die for! Try the Dragons Blood BBQ Sauce it was our favorite. I recommend this place for those who are on the hunt for good BBQ places. I will be back.

Tonight’s dinner is a Smokehouse BBQ and Burgers. Went there with my friend and roommate Keane and we wanted to try a new place. I got the 2 meat plate with 2 sides. I was surprised that there was no extra charge like most places would have down for the 2 meats that I chose. I got the ribs and the brisket with mash potatoes and cornbread as my sides. The ribs were way over smoked that they were like jerky. The brisket was tender but was very bland. Makes sense why they had a full page of sauces you could to dip your meat into. The cornbread was really dry, but at least the butter was fluffy and a little sweet. Well, the sauces I tried were a disappointing. The Strawberry Chipotle sauce had no strawberry taste, but more of a smokey thousand island dressing. Dragons Blood sauce said it was a jalapeno base. It literally tasted like the Heinz jalapeno ketchup. Alabama sauce was decent. It reminded me of a Texas style potato salad. Honey mustard didn’t have any honey taste and just tasted like a brown mustard. The last joke of a sauce was the Oh My Heck sauce that was supposed to be extremely spicy. As my friend Keane said tonight the sauce was just an Eh! He doesn’t eat as spicy as I do and he barely felt anything from this sauce. Also, my friend Keane wanted some wet wipes since he also ordered some of their ribs. Ribs get messy and sometimes tissues just aren’t enough. The staff looked everywhere and couldn’t find any. Oh well, but then they appeared with a stack of what looked like wet wipes. Not reading it he opened one up and the wipe didn’t open up. Then we looked at the packet and it was an alcohol wipe for thermometer tips. What?!?!? Wow! Anyways, I might give this place another try in a couple months, but I hope there is some improvement.

Staff was very friendly. First time coming here and am impressed so far. Have a nice collection of bbq sauces available to use with your meat. Pulled pork was a little cold, baked beans were a little high on ketchup, brisket was good. I would recommend trying the place out.

I don’t give 5 stars lightly on true southern BBQ places. This place nailed it! And I got take out so it probably isn’t even as good as it could’ve been! Yes I’m for sure going to go dine into this place! I got the 2 meat plate because I wanted to try so much!

Pork ribs (1/3 rack). So tender and delicious.

Wet Brisket. Amazing and soo flavorful without the sauces.

Mac and cheese. Solid good and didn’t go wrong. Aka isn’t the cheap stuff.

BBQ baked beans. These are full southern country style and great.

Lastly and most importantly in my opinion. The sauces! The Carolina sauce and Alabama sauces were by far my favorite! They were done so well I wish I would’ve got more! I’ll be back!

The staff was friendly and the food is great. They have a long list of sauces. I wish I could try them all. Our food was very tasty and perfectly prepared. I need to drop by here more often.
