I was here at 6:15am and this place was packed, the line moved quickly. I learned about it from a coworker. I’ve had the tamales before and they are yummy and $1.75 a piece. They open super early and close by 4 but totally worth me waking up to catch these treats. It’s a cute tiny cafe setting but let’s be honest it’s all about the food. If you never noticed it before now you know. I will be adding this place to my favorites in the area. Fresh, fast, clean and tasty.

My husband has been going there since he was a kid and they were selling out of the back of their truck. Once I had a taste I couldn’t agree more!! Best tamales I ever had!!

I stopped buying here because I noticed he tamales were always soggy, decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and buy again and to my dismay, soggy again. The champurrado was delicious as well as the corn tamales but as for the other 2 just a soupy mess.

A lot of reviews suggest calling ahead if you’re wanting a larger order, but their phones are off and no other way to get a hold of them. Been trying to call all morning for tamales I’d like to buy tomorrow, very irritating.

OMG, these are the best tamales! Came from the OC for these; they have a lot of red sauce and meat. The breakfast chorizo and potato burritos are also delicious. **Cash Only**

$13 for this mess. Tastes like Chef Boyardee tamales. L.A. is not short of tamales there are better places to go especially street vendors.

I live right by Lupita’s and her burritos, tortas, tamales, and chili rellenos give me life.
The tamales are thick and spongy which was a new tamale experience for me. It took some getting used to at first, but it’s not a bad thing just different. I prefer the cheese and the strawberry ones, but honestly they’re all so yummy. I order asada burritos with everything and both red and green salsa, and chicken or carnitas for my tortas- so good! This is def more a to go spot but they do have a few tables where you can sit down and eat (pre covid). It’s also family owned, so you’re supporting small business. Highly highly recommend.
