I did notice a door dasher that waited for nearly an hour and finally left, but my food came out hot and delicious. I suppose someone likely didnt get their meal. Similar happened to me when I ordered online a while back. Name of the game is dine in! 4 stars because of the door dash thing.
We came in tonight for our anniversary and the service was impeccable as always, we had the fish soup appetizer and it was delicious, and I had the Pear Ravioli and it was stunning as usual.
If you’re questioning, GO. It is DELICIOUS, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the service is great. The food is to DIE for. I was nearly brought to tears by the Pear Ravioli this evening.
We sat next to the kitchen counter where the cooks place the food for the waiters. They were often ringing the bell to alert servers numerous times. There were multiple times that servers were standing by the counter, and there were plates of food ready, yet the servers wouldn’t take it because it wasn’t for their tables. I have worked in restaurants before, and I have to say the communication between staff here is poor. From my observations, it is a fend for yourself situation.
Drinks: We ordered the blackberry sage smash and a Milano margarita; these were good but it took 30 minutes for us to get our drinks.
Appetizers: garlic cheese bread, brussel sprouts and seafood fritto Misto which were all bland and cold. We returned the seafood misto because the breading was mushy. It must have sat waiting for at least 20 min. The appetizers came out separate, with wait time being 30-50 minutes. Was disappointed in all the appetizers, very poor quality and seasoning.
Entrees: These came 70-90 minutes after being ordered. My son ordered the kids meatball and spaghetti. One big meatball and a big portion of spaghetti. The marinara was very watery though. My son didn’t like it. Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was fine, nothing special. I ordered the special which was a truffle white sauce gnocchi. I asked to add on mussels, clams and shrimp. I received a red sauce dish with the seafood requested plus calamari. The server said the kitchen must have gotten confused with how she rang it up. They requested I try it, which I did, but I didn’t want it. At this point, we were very frustrated. I did not want to wait another hour for my food, so I opted to not have it remade. Our server was kind and apologetic. She took off the seafood fritto misto and my entree, but in all honesty with an experience like the one we had, I think an additional discount would have been appropriate.
In conclusion, find a different Italian restaurant. This was not worth our time or money.
We were immediately let down when the Venetian Spritz came out looking like a Shirley Temple. Then the garlic bread came out looking as if I broiled my own at home. It was cold and arrived with a small serving of bland marinara dipping sauce. We then waited about 60-70 minutes for our main dishes to arrive. Worst of all, I ordered one of the specials, which was printed out on a separate piece of paper stating it was a braised pork shank with a mushroom risotto. To be honest, I ordered this because of the mushroom risotto. It arrived with asparagus and mashed potatoes without any warning.
When the staff was asked about this change, they stated that the mushroom risotto was in fact for the next day, Saturday, rather than the Friday we attended. A simple warning and/or apology would have sufficed. In all, it was a huge let down.
I cannot in good faith recommend this restaurant.
fantastic.
