Great place to visit and grab lunch. Working nearby, we were late for lunch and decided to stop in and grab a bite to eat. What a nice place. It’s like an old general store with a small dining area. The food was great and fresh. They also have soup and a salad bar. We decided to stay and eat there. They offer a large selection of hot and cold subs. I’m looking forward to returning in the near future.

What a neat little store! Reminds me of a forgone different era, back when everyone visited their local general store for fresh food and news on the community! When you walk inside of Ryers, you feel like you’re taken back in time! Most importantly, the food is delicious! I was very pleased with my Reuben sandwich, and I’m a tough critic when it comes to Reubens. I would absolutely recommend this place, and if I lived nearby, I would certainly be a loyal regular.

My son and I go to Ryers often to buy take out and salad bar. Today we ordered 2 sandwiches in which 1 older man and a younger took our order.
When I opened my chicken salad sandwich I couldn’t believe my eyes. 75% bread, 15% lettuce and 10% chicken salad.
My son’s sandwich was correct so I did what I never do ever!! I brought it back in and handed it to the younger guy and I said this sandwich is not acceptable for the money I paid and handed it back to him. I told him I was a regular customer and for $32 for 2 sandwiches and drinks I would expect something better from and old style general store. With that said I sat outside while my son ate his and watched them do absolutely nothing about that fact that they basically gave me one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had anywhere.
I absolutely do not recommend Ryers for sandwiches to anyone

That is not what a general store represents and Ryers should be ashamed of themselves!!
After reading several of the reviews, most of them good it’s very clear in all the bad reviews that are reflected back to the deli. Maybe it’s time you close your deli and concentrate on your store. Only your store is good. The deli is horrible.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I gotta say this place is above and beyond you walk-in he got the good vibe and I got a great sandwich for a great price. I love it anytime. I’m in the area. I’ll be back for sure. The guy who makes the sandwiches by the way he needs a raise.

Worked in N. Reading for a day and stopped here for lunch. Wasn’t expecting the best Italian sub I’ve ever had in my lifetime! The sandwich was absolutely perfect, fresh ingredients, and whatever else they put on it was absolutely delicious. The store has a warm nostalgia about it, really old school decor which I thought was awesome. Customer service was phenomenal as well. Great selection of food, drinks, beer, wine, etc. Highly recommend the deli for lunchtime!!

This is such a cute little place. It has tables to eat and up stairs is a eyecare place. I actually got a new pair of glasses there and it took half the time it does at the big places. Also the lady who I assume owns the store is so sweet and nice. Although I don’t like to give perfect reviews so my fish for critic is that it’s hard to navigate.
