EVERY BITE is just so good! And the SERVICE is amazing. I keep coming back every other weekend and it’s always very satisfying food. GREAT customer service and very accommodating. The mussels are unique and delicious for a starter. The flavors are just to die for. Can’t wait to be back.

Our service was excellent and offered great recommendations. I really enjoyed my bento box and my bf loved his fiesta rolls very spicy! Francisco and his crew are on it. Fast, efficient and clean. Love the vibe, friendly, good music, cold beers and great food. My favorites are the Lobster roll, Smokey Joe and mussels appetizer. Give this place a try and you will know who Francisco is.

My personal favorite sushi spot in Modesto. Lobster roll, and Smokey Joe are my favorites. I mainly go to Oishi Teri for those two sushi rolls. Super flavor. And they got that working man beer. I’m talking about concave rim. Ice on the glass in the summer time. Sturdy. Don’t DoorDash Oishi, go in there.

Not your typical sushi place. Food was okay. Sashimi tasted a little fishy. Sushi roll rice was a bit undercooked or too chilled for my taste. Interesting mix of spices. Three different people waited on us; one took the order, one served the order, another was unable to answer our concerns or questions. Only one seemed experienced but all busy but very nice. Could be a fun environment for drinks and sushi cravings. Just know what you’re ordering.

I would say this is a good 3 especially when you factor in price and the choices of sushi rolls available. To be honest, what I really wanted was a pretty “standard” eel/unagi roll but the only two rolls I saw that included eel were one marked as very spicy and including fried oysters which I don’t particularly care for and a roll that is marked as spicy and including jalapenos which is just very odd to be honest. The overall prices seemed way too high compared to their competition in this city alone. I wound up buying three of their more simple and inexpensive rolls, the spider roll, shrimp tempura roll, and the shooting star to share with my partner. These rolls were all pretty fine, nothing explicitly wrong with them, but we just felt that we enjoyed the rolls at other places more and more the same or even less money.
Service was perfectly fine, the Hispanic man that was our waiter was very nice
As far as atmosphere, we both felt the music to be a bit too loud but that’s not actually affecting the rating I give

Just got done here. I love this freaking place. My wife and I have been so many times now and the staff are always nice and fun to speak with. They always strike up fun conversations with you and genuinely seem to be interested in what ya have to say. Unless it is super busy, they might not have time haha!
Ate a new dish tonight and it was great (spicy chicken teriyaki entree). Asked for extra spicy and they delivered, actually made me sweat a bit. I’m a major pepper head so that’s shocking.
Already can’t wait to go back!
So I’ve had this place around 4 times now. I’m not sure what was wrong the first few times, but I was always underwhelmed. It was just good, not great.
This last visit? Knocked it out of the park!
The jalepeno appetizer was perfect (Hot Lips), I live for jalepnos and these were great, large, crispy and perfectly ripe! Might just get a few of these next time as my whole meal! Haha
And I forgot the name of the sushi rolls I got, but I have a pic, and it was fantastic! Loved the asparagus I got with it.
All around, great date night with my wife!
