Got under the sea roll, fried calamari, and cali roll. I’ve never seen fried calamari like this. Not sure if the calamari was chopped up but there didn’t seem to be a lot of meat. It was just a lot of breading so I didn’t care for it much. The under the sea was okay. Not much taste to it actually even with all the different things in it. It didn’t look that appetizing either. I think the types of fish were just different for me. I usually go for salmon and ahi tuna which add color and their tastes are much better imo. I think the roll was just missing a type of sauce on it. Cali roll was good, but different as the crab was chopped and mixed with something instead of just sticks of crab. Overall I’d love to try this place again someday.

I love this place. Little Gem hidden in the Ozarks. Michael and Young take a lot of pride in their business. Food is always perfect/top quality and the service is genuinely kind. Ive been coming here for several years and ive never had a bad experience. I drive far just to eat here. Best Sushi in Springfield/Metro area.

I’ve been to Maru a few times. On this visit, I ordered several sushi rolls to go. The quality of the food is okay — it isn’t the freshest or best tasting I’ve had. The inside of the restaurant has a calm ambiance and the order was ready when they said. Their other food options might be better but I can’t recommend the sushi.

I ordered 3 sushi rolls, an appetizer of calamari, an Entree of orange chicken and two sides of wok noodles. To be fair I LOVE FOOD!! and have been to a lot of places. The noodles are VERY sweet, and don’t taste quite right. Overall the food was bland to the three of us that went out. LITTLE FLAVOR!! Even on the sushi it wasn’t very tasteful.

Excellent little gem! They have the best crab rangoons that are fresh and hot. Loved the ginger salad and the sushi is wonderful. We’ve been there a few times and the food and service is top notch.

Fantastic little restaurant! I decided to try the pad tai, even though I love sushi. The waiter was knowledgeable when asked if it could be made gluten free. My 12 year old son enjoyed the golden California roll. The only reason gave 4 stars was we waited nearly an hour for our food. The upside was our food was delicious and steaming hot! I’m certain that the wait was kitchen related, because our waiter came by several times asking if we needed anything and apologized for the wait. I will eat here again!
