They were so good when they started out but the food now has inconsistent & not that good. Starting out they were good, but not anymore. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because some restaurant do have off days. But never again. Meat is not tender anymore. Both my ribs & brisket were tough. Also the brisket was the shape of a salisbury steak. Very weird & different. Also too pricey for the crap they serve.

Always pick this up when I DoorDash and thought my husband and I should give it a try. Usually when I go in there’s a younger guy and he’s nice. This older guy today to me was rude!! The food is ridiculously expensive for no reason! I had the 2 pieces Jamaican jerk chicken 2 rib and 2 shrimp let me say that LESS IS MORE so much I couldn’t taste my food! Unfortunately before we got our food I ran back in and got a soul roll the chicken, Mac and greens thinking they would taste like my own; I bit into it and along piece of stale hard cheese came out. Once I found a tender piece of my rib so disgusted by a piece of freaking hair in my food!!!!! NEVER!!!

I ordered thr rib tip dinner with a side of mac & cheese and baked beans and corn bread. Honestly, it was a waste of $30, the only thing that was edible were the rib tips. Bland was overall theme of the meal; the Mac & cheese was gritty and I see the list of cheeses in the description however I didn’t taste any of them in the dish. The baked beans had a slight flavor in the sauce, but the beans weren’t introduced to the sauce long enough to soak that flavor up. The cornbread looked fluffy, moist, & promising. . . all promise faded after the first bite, it was air in bread form. The one redeeming part of the meal were the rib tips, they were a solid c+, while they could’ve used a bit more seasoning, they did have decent flavor and texture. Maybe it was a off- night, but I was hoping for much more.

This was a pick up and take out purchase.I purchased a brisket sandwich meal. The brisket Let seasoning and flavor. It was old, dry and warmed up on the grill. It was very fatty and horribly cut. The fries were greasy, soggy and old.

impression is a lasting one. 2 1/2 stars isn’t an option so I chose to round up rather than down. I first entered the restaurant and there were 4 -5 employees at the front counter that just stared at me as I walked up. I finally received a “Hi” once I touched the counter to place my order. I didn’t wait long after ordering to receive my order (maybe 15 minutes). I ordered the perch dinner. The food was nice and hot, the fish was nicely seasoned, the mac&cheese and yams were tasty but the cornbread…burnt and sour. It’s like they left it in the heat too long or something. I immediately spit the first bite out and threw the rest in the trash. The other negative is I wish they’d drained the grease from the fish before putting it in the box.

I thought that I would leave this review as a compilation of experiences that my family had eating at this restaurant. For starters the food is RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED for the portion size and taste. Personally I ordered the brisket and it was terrible, I physically couldn’t eat the meat as it was COMPLETELY FAT, I’m not exaggerating you can even see it in the pictures, the part that was dark was just the part of fat that was crisped from the pan. Absolutely would not recommend the brisket or the Mac and cheese which had a disgusting taste. Not even the corn bread or the barbecue sauce was safe from the bad taste. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the rest of my party had at least edible food. (Turkey ribs, and chicken wings) the lettuce for the side salad was wilted and nasty while the fries were very cold and under seasoned. I was very disappointed to see that the majority of bad reviews were correct.

Went in and ordered food. Service was good. The man in the front was precise but not very helpful. We ordered the brisket dinner which was $21 and let me tell you, HORRIBLE! Brisket was cold, tough and unseasoned ! Not even the fat was easy to chew and if u eat brisket you know the meat usually melts in your mouth. You don’t gnaw on it like a dog with a bone. I likes the sauces, my husband didn’t. He said the Carolina gold was too vinegary but it was ok to me. Cornbread was jiffy mix with no extra seasoning. Fries were decent. I loved the red beans and rice but I can for the brisket and was sorely disappointed. Gonna see if my oven can save it. Adding seasoning, butter and beef broth to reheat because like I said it was $21! I also got the chocolate cake from there and that was actually really good.

1 word…DISGUSTING . I would give them 0 if I could. Must be under new management. I went there for fish sandwiches and fries for me and my wife, the fish was tasteless and the fries were lifeless soggy and sweet. I’ll never go there again and I would advise you not to either. I spent over $30 in there just to throw it away. Do better

This place is new and after coming here for the first time they’ve had nothing but great service, people and food. 5/5 I recommend everyone try it out The catfish and brisket dinners are my fav and here are a few other delicious meals I got!
