My wife and I arrived at Mizu 20 minutes prior to opening, we went to leave but the owners leapt up to unlock the door and let us in. They told us to seat ourselves and we went for a two top but we’re encouraged to take a bigger table given we were the only folks inside. The owner served us and she was exceptionally attentive and kind. We ordered a volcano roll, summer roll, sex and the city roll, and lobster roll. Everything was KILLER. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever eaten. From the time we entered to the drop of our chop sticks we were only inside for 30 minutes. We closed out our dining experience with some mochi and a deep fried cheesecake which matched the rest of the meal in quality and taste. The rain was coming down and the owner offered to let us hang out as long as needed. I cannot recommend this place enough. By far our favorite meal on our trip to St. Louis so far!

The atmosphere was so relaxed, the music in the background wasn’t so quiet you couldn’t hear it or so loud you couldn’t have a conversation. The staff was very nice and accommodating. To the point even seeing 2 girls out alone on a Saturday night, the waitress stopped us from ordering more drinks rather than rack up a bigger bill, we felt mothered in a sweet endearing way. The sushi was incredible, no fishy taste or smell. The salmon was buttery, the hand roll was perfect. I’ll go here every single time I’m in St Louis from here on out. It’s a beautiful spot!

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! We were going to share a bowl of the chicken ramen and they even offered to split it into 2 different bowls for us. The sushi was so tasty and the spring rolls were fresh and delicious with the side of peanut sauce The ramen had a nice, spicy kick to it. It’s not like the traditional ramen you’d find in Japan, but it was yummy! Definitely would recommend this spot!

The service was good, but the food was just OK. I ordered curry and it came out very soupy. I requested shrimp and the size of the shrimp was lacking. The rice was old as if it had been sitting all day. When you walk in the restaurant, the room was very bare, as if they had just opened their doors for the first time. No decorations. Nothing warming about it. I will have to say that the service was very nice. Maybe it’s just an off night.

After craving sushi for several weeks we finally found time, Mizu is a popular restaurant in my FB group so we decided to give it a try. We beat the dinner rush by arriving around 7p on a Saturday, as you walk in you’ll see a beautifully designed bar with an equally unique dining room. Our server was fun, she cracked jokes and gave great recommendations. We ordered the Dragon Ball for an app and we weren’t disappointed, packed with flavor it’s a must try to start your meal. I got the Las Vegas Roll, and Caterpillar my significant other had the number 45. All put on one plate made for an intimate dinner with great food. If yourebij the mood for amazing Japanese cuisine stop in and have a great time.

I want to point out that the water here is impeccable. Many restaurants have poor water. This water tastes purified. So fresh. I imagine The fountain of youth tastes just like this. Like.. I be looking for that taste in every restaurant. If the water is good, you know the food is gonna BUSSSS.
Everything is good about this place. I’ve had the ramen everytime I’ve went and it’s so spicy and good! Great flavor. I’ve had the chicken and the beef. The chicken is my favorite tho. That broth was just impeccable.
I didn’t like that I read that the ramen noodles were like the thin noodles you get in a .20 cent pack at the grocery and that’s false. These are thicker than those. Thick enough. They’re not the thicker ramen noodles I’ve had at other places BUT are they better? ABSOLUTELY. I get extremely full before I finish my bowl so that’s all that matters.
When food makes you happy and hopeful all of a sudden after eating you know it’s good. This place definitely brings bliss and they have amazing prices!!
I had the rainbow roll too. Delicious. Fresh. I added eel sauce. I was SO full.

Great experience at Mizu. Went with a few girls to celebrate a birthday. Martinis were very good. Food was amazing. We tried a little bit of everything and loved it all. Service was quick, attentive and kind. Will definitely be back!

My partner and I love coming here. It’s family owned and ran. The staff is always so friendly and personable. This is an extremely underrated spot in my opinion. Definitely a Saint Louis gem.
