From the moment you walk up, you’re greeted with the kind of kindness that instantly makes you feel like family The owners are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, and you can truly feel the love they put into their food and their customers!!
A special shout-out to Mel, who went above and beyond—when I couldn’t decide what to order, she not only helped me choose but also surprised me with a few free samples so I could try multiple options That level of generosity and care is rare and so appreciated.
The food was delicious, fresh, and clearly made with pride. If you’re looking for amazing hot dogs, incredible service, and a place that genuinely cares about its customers, this is it. I’ll absolutely be back and will be recommending this spot to everyone I know!!!!

Great spot for a quick meal or late night snack.
I got the vegan dog, Chicago style and it was delicious. Generous portion too. You must try their mint lemonade as well! The owners mentioned how they are allergy and dietary restriction friendly, and happy to make any accommodations (if it’s not too busy). Great people, great food. Highly recommend if you’re in the Kona area!

This place is more of a takeout window but there are tables where you can eat outside which was perfectly fine. Ample parking is available. I had the family recipe chicken dumpling soup which was delicious, lots of taste with the perfect amount of saltiness.

I’ve been here twice now. The first time was the luau and the second time with a chili dog. The all beef chili is amazing, the buns are grilled.
Must visit if you love hot dogs. I usually only eat Top Dog from Berkeley but this place is right up there.

We found Kona Cape Dogs by accident as we were stopping to get my husband’s hair cut. The staff was super welcoming and the menu sounded amazing. It’s small, but the place has a very friendly vibe. We got an iced tea and the Luau Dog, and it was truly delicious! I plan to go back tonight to get one of their bowls. They’re tucked around the corner of the building, so don’t miss them. If you like good food, check them out!

Prepare for your expectations to be exceeded. This place has it dialed in. Family operated with a trained chef and a passionate friendly family making you feel important. We were a large group. The Big Island Mac Dog.. 6 stars out of 5, the Sonoran Dog a solid 5 stars, the Cheesy Bacon Dog 5 Stars , the BLT dog… best BLT in years accompanied with a extremely high quality Chicago hot dog 5 stars again, LA Street Dog loaded with sautéed onions and peppers… gotta wipe the slobber off my keypad.. awesome dog, the plain dog was with mustard was among the best we have had. The Mac Salad is a must.. best we had all week and we tried a lot of them. In summary this is a place you wouldn’t expect to rank as some of the best food all week from a group of foodies, but it does and the topper is the fantastic service by owner and family. We will be back.

Came down in the morning time the staff was really helpful. Had a good place to sit and enjoy your meal. The Greek chicken sandwich was amazing.and the lillikoi lemonade is delicious. Totally worth it. Come check it out.

This place is fantastic! It is a family ran business and they know exactly what they are doing. From the Big Mac dog to the cheezy bacon, down to a art. Incredible food and atmosphere and the kindest family. We surpised them with the entire family of 10 and they handled it like a champ! I can’t tell you how much it is worth a stop, for lunch or easy dinner! My family and I will be back 🙂
