Went in the evening and got a table immediately.
Ordered a burrito which was big and delicious with a salad on the side. Got your usual chips and salsa as complimentary. My brother got tacos and my friend something else I forgot but the food for everyone was amazing. The waiter was polite and quick. Totally would recommend it. Ambiance was dim and private which was nice for privacy and they got sports playing. It’s quiet enough to have conversations as well. Hoping to dine in their outside section next time !

We arrived there about 5pm and the lot was empty. We were a bit skeptical with seeing that! As we entered the place, it was quiet and chill. No hostess so, we waited a few minutes to be seated. We decided to sit outside. Very nice environment. I would say be mindful of the drink you get. There is a sign that says, “no returns or exchanges.” We asked for a strawberry margarita but our waiter brought us a frozen one. We didn’t say frozen. It was very sweet and didn’t taste like any alcohol was in it. That was a bummer! The food was okay, just not as hot. Once we received our food, the waiter didn’t come check on us for a while and we needed more water. Also, we had to go inside to get our own napkins.

Just left disappointed for the second visit in a row. Been a regular for years. Thought the first time was unusual. Go back this time and get raw tortilla shells straight out of the bag. Unheated. Burned inside meat. Meal not fit to eat. Kindly explained the situation and was quickly charged full price. I won’t go back. Disgusted really. Nobody cares about the customer anymore.

Disclaimer, I live in Southern California so my expectations for Mexican food are very high. Tipico does not meet them or come close. I lived in Montgomery and Birmingham for many years and there is good mexican food there but this isn’t it. I would look elsewhere if you want anything more than chips/salsa and/or margaritas. Those were both adequate.

Each time I come it’s great. Most recently I ate lunch, ordered the “Speedy Gonzales”. Around $7 and lives up the the name. It was fast and hot and the chips and salsa were excellent. Outdoor seating is great in fall.

I ordered 2 beef taco salads and a burrito Supreme. I only live 5 minutes away and it was soggy and wet before I got home. It seemed as if they didn’t drain the meat or the tomatoes…the first and last 30$ I’ll ever waste there again. The food was horrible..my husband said it was great for his compost though. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Food was not very good, Chile relleno was just a pile of beef with a sliver of chile on it and a mountain of cheddar cheese. Enchiladas were underseasoned sauce and all. And I’m pretty sure my 20 oz margarita had no tequila whatsoever. Atmosphere and staff were nice however the drinks and food are not to my liking.

When I first came here I was pleasantly impressed that the service was excellent, quick, and kind. The food was always fresh and hot even the salsa that got served with the chips. They have excellent service, food, and music!! I am very happy.
