A vibrant mix of Caribbean flavours, iconic dishes, and the relaxed charm of Calypso Grill. The restaurant with the biggest heart. A call to island life, and a very special place nestled on the shores of the Caribbean Sea. Bright colours, a rustic charm, and wide French doors opening onto our waterfront terrace. Everything here invites you to slow down and embrace Cayman’s paradise living.

Excellent food and great service. The view was really nice too. The mussels, ceviche, and sticky toffee pudding were all very delicious.

Our family had the most amazing dinner here on Easter Sunday, so good in fact that we came back a second time! The food was fresh, presented beautifully and tasted amazing. And you HAVE to save room for the sticky toffee pudding, trust me!! Also, the service was top notch…whether it was refilling a water glass, checking in to see if we needed anything and providing an appropriate pacing between our appetizers and entrées. The setting is also charming inside and out. If you want to have a delicious meal don’t hesitate to book a reservation.

This seaside grill is absolutely brilliant! The seafood stew was incredibly well balanced with the Mahi Mahi being the star of the dish. Drinks were made by the lightning quick and unbelievably accurate bartender Ei Ei, who was phenomenal, providing us with local drink recommendations. Both Ei Ei and our attentive server Kuky kept us entertained the entire evening and provided excellent service throughout even with a full house! My one and only complaint about the entire experience is the design of the bar which forces you a little too far away from your plate, but that’s small potatoes. I highly recommend the Calypso Grill! I will definitely be back when I visit the Caymans again!

This may be the best restaurant that Grand Cayman has to offer. The ambience of the small hut with open walls next to the peer was just relaxing. I cannot remember our servers name (he was Italian) but the service he and the owner provided was nothing but great. The bread and Piña Colada were a good starter. The conch fritters, salt fish fritters, and coconut shrimp were great. The entrees which was the grilled mahi mahi and fish n chips was absolutely amazing! Finally, the desert which was the sticky toffee pudding was delicious as well. Overall the atmosphere was relaxing, the service was spot on, and the food was soothing to the soul.

Very nice restaurant on the water bayside. Excellent service, cool old-style atmosphere, great food. We can recommend the Seafood Rundown (not very spicy), Fish Stew, Crab Linguine, and Ginger Tuna. All very good. This place is expensive. We paid $470 US two apps, 4 mains, 6 or 8 drinks, and one dessert. Sticky Toffee Pudding is one of the best desserts I have ever had and I’m 58YO.

Spectacular location right on the water with a great breeze flowing through the entire restaurant. Reservations not required, but recommended if you want to sit on the patio. Menu presented on a chalk board and our server provided ample details. The food was amazing and we spent well over two hours without any pressure.

I went there for a weekday dinner. Quite pricey for the type and quality of the food they serve. Ricotta gnocci was great, but the crab linguini was disappointing. Also, the sticky toffee pudding was a bit too sweet for me, but I can see how some people may like it.
However, the ambience is very nice. It’s suitable for date night or a family dinner. Most people sat outdoor for dinner since the breeze is nice and cool.

This is a must place to visit for high-end food. The portions were small, and the food was seasoned perfectly. Not too sweet, salty, or drown in butter like other high-end restaurants. The servers were friendly and really took care of the customers. Their sticky toffee pudding was awesome! It was not too sweet, and the fluffy of the pudding is perfect! What I love about the food here is that everything came out hot, it shows that it is cooked fresh and not microwave. Overall, I love the food and the service!
If you go here expecting to see the sun set for dinner, then you are on the wrong side of the island.
NOTE: Make sure you call the bank and take out a loan before entering the restaurant. Delicious food and good service come with a high price. The location of the restaurant is like a hole in the wall. It is in the “not tourist” part of the island.

One of the gems on the island. Fresh seafood with romantic sunset dinner views. Menu seems to be constantly changing except for a few staple dishes. Grilled mahi was immaculate but everything was super fresh. Save room for the sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

We visited after a friend’s recommendation, and it genuinely exceeded all expectations! Probably the best dining experience we’ve had on-island in the two years we’ve been here. We came for lunch and everything was spot on, the food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were perfectly balanced, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet refined.
What truly made it exceptional, though, was the service. Carl was outstanding, he was attentive without ever rushing us, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He gave us the perfect amount of time between courses and made the whole experience feel personal and memorable.
Carl really made this lunch for us and we’ll definitely be back soon!
