The place inside and out is clean and welcoming. They not only have the main bar space and dining area upstairs but they also have a great arcade space in the lower level.

Hands down one of the most unique and delicious dining experiences in the Back Mountain. Captain’s at Harveys Lake absolutely blew me away. Chef David Ciminelli is on another level — every dish tastes like something you’d find in a big-city chef-driven restaurant, but with that cool, laid-back lake vibe that makes it even better.
The menu is wild in the best way possible. You can tell everything is scratch-made, loaded with flavor, and built with real creativity. From the house-made sauces to the insanely good sandwiches and apps, you won’t find food like this anywhere else around here. It’s the type of place where you try something once and immediately want to go back just to work through the rest of the menu.
The atmosphere is awesome too — relaxed, fun, and perfect for hanging out by the lake. The drinks are solid, the staff is friendly, and the whole place has that “hidden gem” feel that makes you want to bring your friends next time.
If you’re anywhere near the Back Mountain or Harveys Lake, Captain’s is absolutely worth the trip. Amazing food, great people, and a chef who’s truly doing something special here. Highly recommend!

Hands down best spots! The bartenders are the best around! Great staff! The food is awesome as well as the prices! Love the atmosphere and how it doesn’t just cater to one crowd. There is an array of young, old and in between! Love the events they have, bands, game room, kitchen and location. This is my husband and I favorite spot!

In the last week of August we arrived , to celebrate my brothers 21st, around 9:45 to be told they’re closing soon and the owner never updated the hours. I apologized and said I was just trying to celebrate my brothers 21st birthday, the only reason we came out. A young blonde waitress complain loudly to the kitchen staff that all night long when she wanted to leave people came in and it “ruined her mood.” We quickly drank the 1 drink each we ordered, again for my brothers 21st birthday THAT day. We paid and have a tip and left. The only reason we went because it was highly recommended, but never again would I go. My brothers 21st was ruined as I tried to hold the tears in as we drove home.

They recently opened their kitchen and have a nice menu of bar food. We had the wings and chicken fingers and fresh cut fries. The chicken tenders were homemade and tasted amazing. The portion was generous and the fresh cut fries were so good! We also enjoyed the wings, we loved the sauce.
There is so much to do there! The basement has an old school game room, there was a band playing outside with ample area to sit. My husband and I chose to sit at the bar and watch the Phillies game. My husband and I also battled in a game of Mortal Kombat and Buck Hunter. There is something for everyone at Captain’s!

It looks like a cool atmosphere, but they continued to deny my friend (who is of legal age by 2 years) from service despite showing multiple forms of ID, claiming that since it is a New Jersey license that she cannot accept it. The bartender was rude about it and refused any other clarification to ensure the ID was real and claimed it was fake despite any verification, terrible service and terrible attitude.

I wish I could give zero stars. Refusing to serve a registered nurse with a valid New Jersey driver’s license—while your parking lot was full of New Jersey plates—is both unprofessional and embarrassing. If your staff can’t recognize a legitimate ID from the neighboring state that keeps half your seats filled, maybe running a bar isn’t the right line of work.
