Joyce is the best waitress ever!! She took the absolute best care of my friend and I when we went to check this place out today! We each got a soup (French onion and my friend got wedding) and we both got the DeBlaze salad (which was so flavorful)
For an entree, I got chicken Romano and my friend got chicken Parmesan. They were both absolutely amazing! The texture and preparation of each dish was done with the utmost perfection and care! Not to mention the portion was more than I was anticipating!
The upstairs is such a unique design and it’s such a gorgeous atmosphere for the entire experience
Such a wonderful experience all around! I’ll definitely be back and when I go back I’ll be asking for Joyce!

This was my first time here and we will definitely be back! We sat at the bar and had great service. The food was delicious. Pictured here is the calamari, wedge salad and stuffed peppers. The dipping oil that is accompanied by bread was also very yummy. Can’t wait to come back and try other items!

It did not live up to the hype although it was not bad at all. I would give it four stars on food everything else was fantastic I will definitely try again and change my face if I maybe it was just the dish I got. I felt like the veal was overcooked. The French onion soup was delicious though. A bit expensive.

I struggle with this review because I really wanted to like this place. My party of 4 arrived at our 4:30 reservations last night and were greeted at the door by the hostest. We were guided upstairs to a big dining room and seated promtly. It wasn’t very bust so my son and I decided to head down to the bar to get a couple of drinks. The bartender greeted us warmly and I ordered 2 old fashioned drinks made with Rittenhouse Rye. The bartender took a few minutes to make the drinks and delivered them to us. Now I’ve been making these drinks for years and order them out all over Pittsburgh. I could tell right away they weren’t right. They were whiskey with two cherries and an orange wedge. That’s it. No muddling. No bitters. No simple syrup. You couldn’t even squeeze the orange?! I’m not one to complain so I waited on the bill. I heard the bartender discussing with a coworker about the type of whiskey I ordered and finally the bill arrived. $37.50!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost fell over lol. Never in my life!!! I threw two 20’s on the bar and headed upstairs. It really didn’t get much better. My wife ordered the lobster with the mushroom risotto and broccoli, and I ordered the blackened mahi-mahi with risotto and broccoli. Our entrées were good, and the risotto was the star, but the broccoli was undercooked and crunchy. You couldn’t cut it with a knife. We let the waitress know and I ordered the glazed carrots instead, and my wife wasn’t offered an alternative. She doesn’t care for carrots . We were finished eating and talking by the time the carrots came out and nothing was taken off the bill. This place definitely needs some work but has potential. There’s really no reason to go back. Sorry. It wasn’t picture worthy.

We really enjoyed our evening here. We ordered the short rib and a steak, both with side salads, and everything was delicious. While I do wish they offered a broader craft beer selection, I was still able to find a beer I enjoyed. We definitely plan to come back to try one of the pasta dishes, those seemed to be the most popular orders in the dining room, so I’m sure they’re fantastic. Parking was also very convenient, which is always a plus. Our waitress who I believe may have also been the bartender and hostess was incredibly friendly and provided stellar service. We’ll absolutely be back.

My company held a birthday party for our boss’ 60th birthday here. It was fantastic all the way around! The owners were incredibly responsive when I was inquiring about booking. The menu was great and was easy to make selections. They even accommodated a few special requests at no additional charge. Everything the day-of was great, too! The upstairs was ready to go when I arrived early to set up a few small decorations. The food was put out on time and was delicious, with way more than enough for the party. The service was great and incredibly friendly. 10/10 would recommend for any occasion!

Just enjoyed the best meal sitting at the bar, served by Kaylee and thoroughly enjoying our complete experience tonight! Our companions for dinner were no-shows, so we sat at the bar, just the two of us and the staff was so welcoming we decided to stay!
The salmon was delicious. Absolutely delicious! My husband enjoyed 1/2 his veal parmigiana because it was so huge! Excellent food!
And the smoked Manhattan… evidently my husband enjoyed those as he opted for a second! Kaylee was fun, attentive, professional and a delight. An excellent ambassador for the DeBlaze “family”.
We will return… whenever we can!
You can’t go wrong with this experience!

If you’re looking for culinary excellence in Carnegie, look no further than DeBlaze at 131. This stylish restaurant and bar offers a handcrafted menu featuring fresh ingredients and innovative dishes that elevate the dining experience.
They serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and dinner nightly. I recently went for a girls’ dinner, and we were blown away by the quality and flavor of everything we tried.
We kicked things off with cocktails from their seasonal cocktail menu, which is creative and well-curated. They also offer beers on draft and a lovely wine selection. We were served fresh bread with an amazing herb dipping oil to start—such a nice touch!
For appetizers, we ordered the bruschetta and risotto balls. The bruschetta was unique and refreshing, topped with lemon ricotta, fresh strawberries, aged balsamic, parmesan, and basil. The risotto balls were rich and comforting, topped with their homemade Sunday sauce and fresh asiago.
The house spring greens salad was a highlight—mixed greens, strawberries, pecans, goat cheese, and a smoked honey vinaigrette that absolutely made the dish.
For entrées, we each ordered something different and, of course, shared everything! Their “Italian done the DeBlaze way” menu lets you choose your protein (like chicken or veal), preparation style, and noodle type. We tried the Chicken Romano with bucatini and the Veal Marsala with bucatini—both were outstanding. You can really taste the fresh, homemade noodles, which makes all the difference.
We also got the crab cakes, served with vegetables and sun-dried tomato risotto—another standout!
To top it all off, their desserts are homemade, which is such a thoughtful and elegant touch. Everything from start to finish was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor.
DeBlaze at 131 is truly a gem. Whether you’re going out for brunch, lunch, or a special dinner, this spot delivers on every level. I will definitely be back!
