Obsessed! Look how cute this place is! And the food is SO crisp and fresh. I ordered a basic egg salad sandwich on my lunch break and was not expecting it to be SO good. Do not omit the red onion, tomato or lettuce. Its perfection! Came with a pickle and cold slaw. I picked up a bag of chips at the register to go with my sandwich.

They say first impressions are everything and Maven’s Delicatessen did not disappoint. We were immediately greeted by a kind man behind the counter who answered all of our questions and chatted with us while we waited not even 15 minutes for a table. We were seated and greeted by the best waitress ever Megan, who brought us coleslaw and pickles to munch on while we waited for our order. The food was impeccable, the service delightful, and the owner Jay refilled my drink more than once on his way by! Loved the experience so much, I bought a hat and had my picture taken with Megan! We’ll DEFINITELY be back!!!

Maven’s Delicatessen absolutely nailed it. I ordered the pastrami and Reuben sandwiches with potato latkes, coleslaw, and a Dr. Brown’s root beer, and I can confidently say this is the best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had. I’ve been eating pastrami since I was a kid back when it felt like a reward for a good week at school and this hit that exact nostalgic sweet spot. Growing up around Boston, and spending time in Needham, Newton, and Brookline/Brighton, I’ve had my share of legit delis, and this place holds its own easily. The Schnitzel* is a better version chicken cutlet my second favorite is the downtown. Great place to get a delicious sandwich. The deserts are fantastic bageks are made onsite it’s a one of a kind deli it’s a must try.

First thing, Melinda is a wonderful waitress with a great attitude and sense of humor!! It was our first time going and it will not be the last. The food is incredible!! The potato latkes were delicious, the Blintz was spectacular, the bagels with veggie schmear was fresh with crisp veggies and The Golem was to die for!!! Maven’s corned beef hash was also very good. Did I mention our waitress Melinda?

I found this place on accident while wandering around taking pictures of the snow that had just fallen and it was like some beautiful magical Oasis. The staff were awesome and helpful and helped me with my ridiculous order preferences and made such a delicious bagel sandwich with a salt bagel and lox and cream cheese or whatever was on there. it was so good and the coffee was freaking delicious.

This is the type of place for a perfect date anytime of day. Malinda gave my husband and I recommended sandwiches called The Golem that were sizeable and delicious with the latkas. For our first time she made a wonderful impression. Looking forward to the next visit!!

it is extremely pricey for good – but not great deli. Service was haphazard. Went at 11:15. It was not crowded – in fact pretty empty, but took a long time for food to arrive. We had Pastrami – which was fine, but not know your socks off. Knish – which was good and potato pancakes which were fine. But 30 minute wait in a pretty empty restaurant ….. We then went to buy some bagels to go – they were excellent – but the folks waiting on the bagels seemed confused and it took a long time.

Amazing deli. We were warmly welcomed by Melinda. She brought over delicious coleslaw and pickles to get us started. She gave us recommendations which we took. The potato latke and Reuben sandwich were yummy. Pricey but worth it. Nice atmosphere. Decent parking.
