I liked the food, I would recommend it, I had chicken francese, it came with pasta and salad, however the service was slow, I had 3 different people come to the table before I was able to order, then food was served by a forth person who bought it to the wrong table twice before realizing the mistake, could of been that they had two big tables being served.

Had lunch with a few friends. Good Scapariello …not too hot but you can get it “spicy” if you want. Everyone was impressed with their dishes. Anthony (owner) is a great host. We’ll definitely return for an encore.

Went there for Valentine’s dinner with my wife. Overwhelming for them because they had one server, one busboy, one hostess. The restaurant is not big but did not have enough servers. Heck just adding one extra server would have been a big help. Hostess seated us and also took our appetizer and main course order. About 25 minutes later we receiver both at the same time.
Then we were basically forgotten… My wife did not finish her meal. The dish (can’t remember name) was prepared with white wine sauce, a side of pasta and red sauce. She asked to have leftovers in a container. We waited and waited for the check after everything was cleared from the table. Finally, I went to the small bar and got the hostess’ attention. She said “Thanks for coming”… I responded that I wanted my check and that we had been waiting for it. Ouch… When we got home we discovered that the busboy had just plopped the pasta with red sauce on top of the dinner with white wine sauce. Wife threw it away. I have worked food service before and this was pretty bad experience. We are willing to try again when not so busy since it’s close to us… Thanks

Excellent menu, great atmosphere and Italian food with a solid Bronx foundation. Just what we’ve been waiting for! Anthony and staff made us feel right at home. Dora’s is a must.

Very nice replacement for Cafe Pizzaz. Service was great and the owners were very personable! But I’m all about food. I ordered Pasta ala Dora…pasta with short ribs meat. Menu said cavatelli but it was served with rigatoni. Would have said something but rigatoni works Wells with a heavy meat sauce. It was delicious and very generous portion. Friends order pasta primavera, lasagna and all were quite satisfied. Very nice salad and various breads accompany your dinner. Tasted the pizette margharitta…excellent! Still waiting on their liquor license but will accommodate BYOB. I am a big supporter of local businesses and would not post this if I wasn’t pleased! I encourage the locals to give them a try.
