Finally!! I have found authentic tamales like the ones I had when I was a kid. It’s not a ‘fancy’ dressed up kind of place but the food is great and really good size portions. They even have beef tongue if you’re into that. A great variety on the menu including a kids menu. Staff was great as well, definitely my new favorite and go-to when I’m craving Mexican food. Salsa and warm chips for starter is not too spicy yet tasty.

The Food was amazing, price is generous to the food, and the staff was all smiles. Right now of the places I have gone in GI, this is my favorite. Just look at the plate! Look at the plate in comparison to my hand!

First timers. Others recommended this place, a little overrated. I ordered the combination #9 and I have to say the beef burrito portion was very good. Enjoyed the mixture. Wife ordered the taco salad with chicken and was unimpressed. Stated the shell was overcooked and soaked from the runny ingredients. To their credit, the manager didn’t charge for it. They were also out of rice at that time. After returning to our motel, we found out we should have ordered the fajitas. Maybe next time.

We came in from out of town to visit friends. We decided on this restaurant out of dozens…next time we’ll eat elsewhere. Run down restaurant with mediocre food. Sadly disappointed! I found plastic wrap wadded up in my fajitas! The margaritas were subpar at best. They brought us out one ticket and then a different one after we paid. Only positive, large food portions.

It was a Sunday when my wife and I came to this restaurant, we came in no one there at the front, just looking for someone to seat us like the sign said, wait to be seated and trust me it wasn’t full of people. After waiting finally someone comes and sits is down. complimentary Chips and salsa that are really good, probably the best I’ve tried. Now let’s go to the food, my wife and I shared a carne asada, a traditional dish at all Mexican restaurants, and it was terrible, the meat tasted like fish and the only thing that was good was the beans and some of the rice. The salad was old as well as all of the other vegetable on the plate and also the Avacado had a rancid taste to it, runny texture and just not good. The carne Asada was tough and beside the taste of fish I was really impressed by the size they give you. So a star for that. Don’t know if there trying to get rid of old meat and vegetables but Sunday is not a good day to come to this restaurant. Glad we only got one plate. Overall I’m disappointed with the plate I got. Will not be coming in soon to eat here.
