I ordered catfish, chicken and fries. The chicken was good and fresh. However, the fish was NOT catfish . It has to be tilapia because I’m allergic to tilapia. The fries was mixed with old fries. Definitely disappointing. I’ll never eat here again..

The chicken was hard as he’ll and over cooked.
I was giving no cocktail or tartar sauce for 20 shrimp and 5 prices of fish, no rolls they had none of the desserts I ordered nor the drinks they had advertised.

Before I start with the review I just wanted to announce as of February 7th 2025 this location which is lousiana fried chicken now takes EBT !!! Yay !! So u guys come check them out and let them know Carla recommended u ! Also this is the latest location in the av that stays open the latest until 10pm!!! The others close at I believe 9 but stops there last order around 8:30pm. I’m still here rn at 9:38 listening to music enjoying my food and there not rushing me !! I love this atmosphere but anyway let me get to the review …
I came in here for the second time today my first time was originally when they opened a while ago less the. A year I believe and There food is still great it is black owned and he has all different races working in here which is awesome the owner is very hands on and generous and his employees are super friendly and sweet and informative but there was one employee that really stuck out to me his name was Armando. And man he was so nice. Friendly he explained the menu to me gave me recommendations he went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my meal. I had to tip. The food came out nice fresh and hot and on top of that there the only Louisiana fried chicken that stays open late till 10pm. And there food is delicious and fresh and they now starting February 7th 2025 they will be taking EBT SO U YOU GUYS COME ON DOWN TRY THEM OUT AND LEAVE ME A COMMENT AND TELL ME IF I HIT THEM SPOT ON !! I ordered a 4 piece combo(see photo of menu). If you look closely you will see this (Substitute for a breast $0.75) is listed under all the chicken combo’s (see photo of receipt). The staff said the register is set to automatically charge $0.75, even if there’s no substitute. This can’t be right. Won’t be going back no time soon.

Well, had to come back and edit my post because it was too good to stop eating and type. Even the cat wanted some. Real good seasoning on the chicken with just a little heat, but I like the hot sauce. All the sides, fritters, okra, and red beans & rice, were done right. I think I’m coming here instead of Popeye’s.

The restaurant is in a good place to make good money but the cook is slow. They don’t give you condiments. You can order at 5 o’clock. You won’t get your food till 6 o’clock and then the chicken be half done and other Louisiana chicken places give you a roll with your meal and your meal will be properly packaged. When you call to explain that you didn’t get your roll that comes with the meal they want to charge you for it and they prices are too high a two piece chicken meal is six bucks they want fifteen bucks they need to be trained on customer service

Food always taste great but your employees struggle on getting orders right. They always forget something fries, bread, drinks with the combo. They need to be retrained and you never take responsibility to go above and beyond the mistake. If you forgot to fry a piece of chicken make sure you offer something for wasting my time and making me sit at the restaurant longer than I would like. Basic customer service this establishment lacks; so I strongly suggest training them in that. Even the owner looks lost when putting together orders and barely offers compensation for mistake that take time out of your day.
