I cannot say enough great things about Empanada Stop and Tony. My husband had recently tried it and told me I had to go asap. So the first opportunity I got I took my friend there and we were blown away. We got the jalapeño burger, which comes with an egg on it and the bread is baked fresh while your burger is cooking!! The seared Ahi tuna sandwich was perfect and everything fresh and delicious. The house soup is piping hot and flavorful. My friends little kid got the pastrami sandwich and loved it. He said he wants to order it again when he returns. After working many years in food and beverage and experiencing a lot of amazing food I can tell you that this is a must try and you will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to go back and try more but I’m gonna have a hard time not re-ordering what I’ve already tried because it was so amazing!!

How did I not hear about this place sooner?! They have been open 8 months!? This is a gem in our area for a delicious quality meal… (Also, the nicest people own it). The Macro bowl was A+++ The house soup was yummmm …. Everything was SO GOOD. I will be back as I want to try other menu items now – I have already sent their menu to a couple friends who I know will love it too…. It is a lovely place and I hope more people stop in and give them a try.

Empanada Stop is a SLEEPER PICK!!! Google reviewers, you did not let me down! I do not live close and happen to be in Troutdale and looked up vegan/vegetarian nearby, and could not believe there were hundred of all 5⭐️s for Empanada Stop. I decided to try it out for myself and WOW … I am blown away. Thoughtfully curated and prepared ingredients, arranged so beautifully and the taste … even BETTER! The customer service is outstanding, Tony, the owner made me feel so welcomed and was soo appreciative of my visit. I am so grateful to fuel my body with all their deliciousness, I will definitely make the trek across town to dine here again!
What I got:
– Macro bowl: tender roasted vegetables, lentil and kale was perfectly textured, quinoa was flavorful, topped with a fried sunnyside up egg
– Vegan empanada: perfectly crusted, jackfruit filling was delicious, on a bed of black beans
– Baklava & ice cream: MY GOODNESS gracious … just please get it!!! Baklava made in house and not too sweet. Perfection!

This place is INCREDIBLE – we were not prepared for the immense flavor and quality. If only I could give more stars. Tony welcomed us right away and is very passionate about the art they serve. He gave recommendations for our first time here. Everything is made from scratch, and I do mean everything. My husband and brother both got empanada meals, and I got the vegan empanada meal (was not prepared for how big this meal was!). We got a couple sauces to share, and ended up also getting the baklava and ice cream (also scratch-made). Tony has honed his craft – everything was bursting with flavor and was made with intention. The kitchen staff that brought our meals out were also very kind and seemed like they love what they do. I will be recommending this to friends and we will definitely be back. The empanadas exceeded expectations, and I can’t wait to try the other menu items like the burgers! Thanks, Tony!

We had a healthy and delicious lunch! Eclectic, multi-cultural, tasty menu. I had the winter salad, my husband had the falafel bowl, and we shared the vegan empanada. I would have gotten the house soup too, but didn’t want to over-order. My husband tried the baklava and it was delicious. They make everything from scratch here and you can definitely taste it : )

I was driving nearby and decided to stop in and I am so happy I did! First impressions when walking into this location is that it is super clean, smells amazing, and I was immediately greeted with kind service. I was offered a sample of their soup and was advised that everything is house made, even the delicious hot squash soup that I was able to taste. I placed my order with Tony who was friendly, offered help with any questions, and just made me feel welcomed and valued. Now all of that is great but how was the food? … AMAZING. When it was brought to my table, the first thing I said was “oh my, it’s beautiful!”. The taste was even more exceptional than how it looked. Wonderful fresh flavors that were unique but absolutely delicious. I’m already planning my next trip!

Everything was incredibly delicious, and you could really tell that they make everything homemade – from the buns to the chips. The chips especially stood out: perfectly seasoned, homemade potato chips that just tasted on a whole different level.
And the coffee? Surprisingly fantastic!! As for coffee gourmand, it’s not always easy to find a really great cup of coffee in Oregon, but this place nailed it.
On top of that, the service was impeccable. Tony was an absolute delight – super friendly and attentive. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely recommend this spot.

This place not only do they have AMAZING food, they also have AMAZING customer service! I always take newbies there and everyone has loved it. There hasn’t been anything that hasn’t tasted amazing and everything is made fresh to your order. We went last night for a friend’s birthday dinner and the owner came out with ice cream and baklava. The ice cream had a lit candle in the middle. It was the cutest and sweetest thing. I cherish that kind of customer service. Prices are very reasonable as well. I spent more because we ate there and I had a take out order for my mom. If you haven’t gone you need to check it out, I promise it’s worth every dollar !!!
