And well yes! My mom and I had the meat and veggie combo #2, baklava, a few coffees. It was all really great.

Also I thought the pricing was pretty good, esp for the huge portions (had leftovers). I think it was ~40 for everything.

I was craving Ethiopian food, and Jebena Café kept popping up on Seattle’s “best of” lists, so naturally my second brain aka my stomach led me there. The place is quite small, and I’ll be honest, the surrounding neighborhood felt a bit shady. I even hesitated for a moment after parking.
But once I stepped inside, the space was squeaky clean and I was warmly welcomed by the owner. We ordered the vegetarian combo, and the sides were flavorful, fresh, and subtle on the palate. It’s not the best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had, but it’s definitely better than many spots around town. The ingredients looked fresh and tasted crisp, which I really appreciated.

They do close early, so make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing.

I also ordered a samosa, hoping it would beat the ones from Whole Foods, but unfortunately it leaned more toward the inedible side. The mint chutney was fine, nothing exceptional.

Would I come back? Probably not.
Is it worth trying? Yes.
It’s easy on the wallet, so if you’re craving Ethiopian, it’s a decent spot to try once.

It’s a 3.5 for me

Incredibly warm and thoughtful service. Jebena combo is the way to go! So much variety. I think it’s a solid amount for 2 hungry people – not sure if it’s fully feed 3.

The veggie combo is so good that we barely toiched chicken tibs (which was amazing in it’s right). Cannot recommend this enough

A friend and I tried this place for the first time, and we loved it. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and bright and the food was incredible. We ordered one of their meat combos, which came with injera, a couple of different meats, lentils, shiro wat, spinach, and salad. The portions were great and everything was super flavorful. We also had the foul, which was really nice, served with soft, pillowy bread. Also, our server was so kind and friendly. She checked on us several times and answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend this place and understand now why it’s so highly rated!

Got their meat combo – was a great choice. Their lentil beans yellow and red both were much smoother than other places, the flavor of their meat are also unique and very tasty – definitely will go back.
