EVERYTHING was delicious!! The hush puppies were definitely our favorite but overall the food was very flavorful and everything had a very nice presentation. The owner is super nice and very professional and Jess was the best host !! If you’re in Boston you have to try zaz if you’re not I promise you it’s worth the trip !!

ZAZ catering is on Spectacle Island in the Snack area. I visited here with a friend. The food and service were absolutely comical. I’m laughing so hard I’m tearing up as a write this.
The lady taking my order is Chinese and doesn’t know how to use the simple credit card machine. I helped her multiple times. She charged my jerk chicken sandwich as a grilled cheese sandwich. I couldn’t stop her. She said it was ok. I’m pretty sure I didn’t pay what it costs. The cook only speaks Spanish and the Chinese lady speaks very poor English…and zero Spanish.
My food was finally ready, and the Chinese lady kept apologizing to the another customer saying that the Spanish lady cooked two of whatever she ordered. However, it was obviously my food (2 orders). I was able to speak a little bit of Spanish and confirm with the Cook that it was indeed my food. Otherwise, I would not have received my order.
I did not expect the food to be warm enough, and I was not disappointed. The middle of my Panini sandwich was quite cold. In fact, only the outer edges were warm enough to potentially be food-safe. I ate it anyway, and I wish I had not. This was THE ONLY FOOD OPTION on the island.
There are no trash cans on the island and so I had to return my trash to the Chinese lady. I decided to purchase a bag of Doritos to wash the flavor out of my mouth from the sandwich. The credit card machine appeared stuck. I realized fairly quickly that the lady simply did not know how to read English and could not tell what the credit card machine was saying. The previous customer had not completed the step to leave a tip. After she fumbled around for about a minute, I stepped in and processed the transaction for her. She was then able to process my transaction.
During the process of delivering my trash and purchasing the Doritos, the electric countertop grill stop working. This was apparently the only way to warm any food in the kitchen. One of the customers took her friend into the kitchen and helped the Spanish lady turn the grill on. When I left, it did appear that the grill was now working.
All in all, this was an adventure that I will remember for my entire life. I am grateful for the opportunity to experience this day. I also hope that my stomach ache does not continue to get worse.

Great food! I had the Cajun pasta with chicken and shrimp. Big portion!!! Came with 9 and made reservations earlier the week. Didn’t know you can dine in. They were so helpful ! Parking is in tight on the street, but there a huge free lot across the street. Their salmon hush puppies are delicious too! We feasted!!!

The food was absolutely amazing! The Chef greeted us at our table, our waitress was super friendly and the DJ was playing some good music! The cajun seafood hush puppies were so good and the fried snapper and thai fried basil rice was cooked and seasoned perfectly! Absolutely amazing! Will definitely be going back soon!

Cozy spot, black owned, food made fresh, music is on point ate here with my father and he loved it! Came back with my friends and Free from 106& Park stopped by to eat to. Everyone’s plate was cleared! The food is GOOD and so is the service.

Went to Zaz for a testing for our wedding. Our server was very nice. I had a mimosa slush I believe it was mango it was sooo delicious.
We tried the salmon hush puppies w hadvthe option of chipotle or tamarind sauce. I’m a spicy girl and the chipotle was in point! We also had the macaroni and cheese which is super decadent and gourmet if you add lobster its to die for. We also had the jerk chicken and bbq jerk very authentic you could taste that it was grilled. Chef was very nice and accommodating with the catering menu. I would reccomend for you next wedding or event

This is one of Boston’s hidden gems. The food Lick my fingers good. Great atmosphere when dining in and the takeout is always good. I even meal prep and that week I eat good. I also tried their catering option and their stuff was so friendly when they deliver the food and everyone love the food.( picture inserted below). Salmon dish with lo Mein is by far my favorite meal. They have great vegetarian options. There’s something here for everyone. Did I mention their black owned. The only reason why I didn’t give it four stars is they’re not consistent with the side sauce that they add with every meal sometimes they added it sometimes they don’t. The Sauce is bomb.

An excellent restaurant experience, really good quality food, the portions were pre-pandemic, everything I ate was flavorful…we reserved a table for 10 people and everyone was more than satisfied with their respective orders.. I had the Teriyaki Salmon with black rice and a side of fried plantains….the food was well seasoned, I could taste the blend of ginger and teriyaki as well as a bit of pepper…that complemented every bite!

This was my first time at this establishment. I attended a birthday dinner while traveling from CT.
The food was great, the atmosphere was delightful unfortunately the “personal bartender” was not prepared with the typical requests made by the party. The Only form of payment accepted was CASH or CASH APP for a $15.00 drink in a 9 ounce plastic cup full of ice.
