#AmarisRestaurant in #Philly didn’t disappoint!! Everything we ordered came out fresh & YUMMMMMY !! My Salmon Philly was da BOMB & so was the Brioche French Toast and I had to get some Collard Greens‼️ I wish the Strawberry Lemonade had at least one free refill because it was lovely. This is restaurant is truly a gem. I’m so glad I have it a try. The service was prompt and professional. The food was seasoned to perfection & well made. I opted for 2 eggs scrambled, home fries, bacon, rye toast & cranberry juice. The price point of the menu was fair. They have a jazz band every other Sunday with no cover charge. The restaurant was clean and in good repair. As well as the restrooms. This is definitely a staple in the community. And a delightful place to please your palate.

I came in early afternoon (around 11am). The place was clean with soft music playing. I was greeted promptly by the server and self sat. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a strawberry lemonade. The strawberry lemonade was delicious ! The wait for my order wasn’t too long and the food was hot and well plated. I enjoyed every part of my experience at the restaurant. Then I ordered the short ribs to go.

I went to get food from here for the first time 11/22/2025 and the experience was one of the worst I ever experienced. The light skin lady with blonde individuals was so ignorant. I was told my food would take 20 minutes I got there and had to wait an additional 15 minutes which wasn’t an issue but how she was talking to me was the issue. The French toast was Soggy and so was the fish. Nothing was made the way I asked for it to be made.
The home fries were dry and for $50.00 for 2 breakfast platters I defiantly expected a better taste and quality and portions of food never again. If I wasn’t an honest person I would had disputed the transaction with the bank. It was a waste and they’re ignorant including the older man with the grey hair that cooks. It’s so unfortunate that you can’t even support your own kind. I will never return back

I always get the steak and eggs with a side of French toast. The steak is a little tough but the marinade is so good, and the scrambled eggs with cheese are so fluffy and perfect. The French toast is a buttery sin. My servers have always been attentive and polite, and my coffee and water stay full.
My one knock on this place is that the going in and out of the delivery drivers and the DoorDash chime may ruin the atmosphere for some.
A totally accurate rating would be 4.5 but I love going here so it gets the full 5 Stars

The food was delicious. Seasoned well, my only issue is that I felt the seafood omelette should have been more fuller and longer. Other than that, everything was perfect. I didn’t take any stars away because of it. Customer Service was also great and pleasant. And the food is reasonably priced!

I was in Philly today picking up my daughter from Temple. I wanted to get some soul food early in the morning to take home with me. The customer service and the food was amazing. I got the best shrimp and grits I have ever had they were eaten in the car and didn’t even make it home. I also purchased the fish dinner which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I will definitely be going back!

I don’t like giving bad reviews, but some things need to be said. We ordered the beef short ribs and grits, beef rib platter, and fried chicken. I ordered online and picked up the meal. The staff were not friendly at all. Long story short, we thought that we contracted COVID because we couldn’t taste anything while eating the beef dishes. The only saving grace was the chicken, however, I like my chicken cleaned before it’s cooked, and I prefer not to see a recognizable fried feather. I tried to touch up the food today, by recooking it; the beef was so fatty (both dishes). The chef shouldn’t be cooking. They know nothing about seasoning and rendering the fat, or worse, they don’t care. I couldn’t save the meal and ended up tossing everything out (including the chicken after reading that they let it sit it in its juices and don’t rinse them before cooking). $76 down the drain, but the lesson was priceless. I will never patronize this place again. I expected better…
