I loved it! My 1st visit but not my last. All of my food was hot, flavorful and filling. The cabbage needed to be cooked a little longer but I have NO complaints on what we ordered. Exceptional customer service.

We visited LeaIV’s for Sunday lunch, and I could honestly cry — the food was that good. We ordered the baked chicken and dressing, the smothered oxtails, and the 24kt wings, plus just about every side they had: mac and cheese, fried okra, collard greens, candied yams, potato salad, mashed potatoes, and the peas (I think they were purple hulls). Every single bite was amazing.
The standouts for us were definitely the wings, collard greens, peas, candied yams, and potato salad — but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
We arrived about ten minutes before they opened (12:30 on Sunday) and thought the door was open, but it was still locked. Within minutes, every car in the lot started emptying — turns out everyone was waiting for them to open too!
The food is pure comfort, made with so much love and flavor. I’d be amazed if they don’t sell out every single day. I can’t wait to come back to Stonewall so I can eat here again and try all the different specials.

Catfish ou shed was great. Veggies were good.
Staff was very friendly. Tried the honey bun cake. It was great.
Buffalo fish was nice. We also tried the rib tips. All was good.

Had Lea Iv’s Saturday as an early Mother’s Day meal. I’d heard great things and had been patiently waiting to try this spot. The food was delicious. I had stuffed shrimp with rice and gravy. The only thing missing was tarter sauce. The lemonade was so good. The peanut butter cake and honey bun cake were a small piece of heaven on Earth. I truly enjoyed the food and will return to support this business. Great vibes. It’s like having a meal at your granny or one of your auntie’s houses.

First timer here. If you know me l don’t hold back my words l walked in around 1:30p I ordered baked chckn over rice, w/ mac n chz, and greens. They were out cabbage, so l asked for greens. Well.. coworker told me about this place. I told him I’d give it a shot. Everything l put in my mouth tasted like it was from the 1950s. A friend told us if we loved good food, we had to try the food here. So we got three to-go plates that consisted of pig tails and oxtails, and went home. The Food was GREAT! I love LeaIV’s. This place has it all. GREAT food, an amazing atmosphere, with an AWESOME staff. Everything that I have eaten from here has been extremely delicious and flavorful. My favorite so far has been the cabbage, greens, and liver & onions. The beef tips are sooooo tender. Great prices and fresh veggies. An amazing combination!!! My only quirk is I wish they had somewhere I could wash my hands so I could sit down and eat versus having to drive all the way back home before I eat (Shreveport). Maybe eventually…

The Owner responded with no accountability whatsoever. My review is based on my experience, it is not to “bash a black owned establishment”. Since they don’t mind exposing their employees…The server was a sweet elderly lady, but why didn’t she have help? The gratuity was taken off and that’s why I gave 2 stars not 1. A tip is earned, not just given.
My cousin made the reservations so that has nothing to do with me, I just stated we had a reservation. This review has nothing to do with her. If there was a manager available we shouldn’t have had to ask for one.
In summary, the service needs improvement, the food was ok, the owner doesn’t appreciate constructive criticism. (No more responses or updates to follow.)

We reserved a table for a post graduation lunch. I wouldn’t recommend large parties. The server was not efficient. We had a party of 18. The server took drink orders 2 tickets at a time. Then, she came around and did the same for food orders. Everyone’s food came out at different times with a few missing and/or incorrect items.
The food tasted ok, but the service needs improvement. I ordered lemon pepper wings that came out covered in a white sauce. I was confused, but they explained that they’re wet. They were not what I was expecting. Maybe more details/pictures on the menu would help.
One more thing, I felt like I walked through the kitchen to go to the restroom that’s unsanitary and a slip hazard.
