The food was not as good as expected and felt a bit over-hyped. While the portions were very generous for the price, the flavors didn’t taste authentic. We decided to dine in since we live a bit of a distance away, but we had to ask for our table to be cleaned before sitting down. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t meet our expectations, and we won’t be returning.

I’ve been coming to Ichiban for over a year, and it’s been my go-to most days last year and this year. It’s probably been 60% of my meals this past year. Even after moving to Stockbridge (30-45 min drive through traffic), I still make the trip because no other local hibachi compares.
Most of the time, the food is great and staff is friendly. But there are quality issues occasionally, or the food comes out unseasoned where you need the yum-yum sauce. Sometimes the rice is mushy too. I’ve even found a hair in my food once. How is bringing that to their attention complaining? They made the mistake.
My order was missing items. When I called from home, the cashier was dismissive while I explained and would only offer reheating instead of remaking initially. In person, the girl with the septum piercing has repeatedly had an attitude with me for no reason, and today the newest cashier was outright rude and kept ignoring me mid-sentence to take phone orders. No apology for the mistake or for making me drive all the way back from Stockbridge—wasting over 2 hours in traffic.
After all the money and loyalty I’ve given this place, being gaslighted over a simple fix was disrespectful and hurtful. How can you say I only complain when all I do is place my order over the phone and pick it up without barely saying a word to anyone?! The old manager and cashiers never gave me any issues like this. Quality sure, but they fixed it without issue when I brought it to their attention, not complaining to them. I loved this food enough to go way out of my way for it, but this experience ended that. Very disappointed.

I deliver doordash from here quite often and tried them out today. The service is always great and they’re extremely nice and fast. The food was amazing and they give you SO much food for the best price. Highly recommend

Stopped by because of reviews and we were close. The rice was the only thing my family enjoyed. My steak tasted like liver and the chicken was not tasty. The teriyaki chicken was burnt so it was picked over. I may go back for the rice, though; it was a nice, big portion. We wanted to sit inside since it was empty at the moment, but weren’t allowed.

This little resto in McDonough is really good at super affordable prices. The kids enjoyed it a lot and husband approved. Although the cashier is not friendly but the food tastes great and they are fast. — that’s why I’m still giving 5 stars. I wish it’s near home so i can easily grab some to go as I am not a big cook.

This place is usually good. It’s no Frills or thrills, it’s not some nice sit-down restaurant, it is definitely a casual and comfortable smaller restaurant. You don’t get to see them cook your Hibachi meals in front of you. They used to have a window where you could see them cooking it but that’s now a prep area and all the food is cooked in the back. They are bench like seating inside. It’s self-serve drink station and condiment station for like your soy sauce duck sauce or whatever. It’s best to order ahead because they typically stay busy due to their good food. They always give you a ton of food, I can usually eat on my food for 2 to 3 days. The vegetables I cooked just right for me, they’re not soft but they’re also not too hard, and it’s not a whole lot of just one particular vegetable. I come here often and this time I got the vegetable plate which is a mix of vegetables and two portions of fried rice. I will say that the fried rice is not exciting, I added eggs to it on this order but I probably won’t do that again in the future. But they’re fried rice doesn’t have carrots or peas or any other vegetables mixed in. I definitely enjoy eating vegetables so this is a great meal for me. My daughter enjoys the shrimp bowl and the chicken bowl but I forgot to take pictures of her plate. I also enjoy their spring rolls and their California rolls, which I forgot to take a picture of as well.
