Very good food it tastes extremely authentic and it fills you up. I recommend the sampler plate they offer it’s so good for its value. The beans are also delicious super seasoned and very hot perfect for the cold windy day we went on. Tacos and papa are delicious and tender and the hotdog was on point. Definitely would recommend for a lowkey taco spot for late nights

My boyfriend and I were looking for a new taco place to try out, and we found this amazing place!!! The beans were super delicious, very much one of a kind. I would recommend the sampler, everything was great and yummy! Definitely recommend going here from now on The service was also amazing, props to the kind waitress that served us.

Looking for street tacos, we stumbled upon this food truck. They have a few tables to sit and dine in while looking out toward 23rd street. We opted to take our tacos to go. This establishment is small and simple, serving traditional street tacos prepared in a typical food truck. The tacos definitely satisfied our craving.

Delicious tacos! They have a lot to pick from. The service is great. They have car service too if you don’t want to get down. Tacos are not greasy. The beans are flavorful. Nice decorations. Not full of people. Their baked potato was so cheesy and good! My son loved it and he’s a little picky eater. This is our new favorite spot!

Tacos are great! I had the Tacos La Patrona of deshebrada (shredded beef). The reason for the 4 stars on the food is that the tacos fell apart. These are not meant to be crispy tacos, they are tacos al vapor (cooked with steam). As you can tell in the photos, I still ate them all. Be prepared to get your hands dirty (I didn’t mind at all).

There are many,many taquerias here in McAllen, some of which my husband and I have yet to try; but out of all the ones that we have tried- Taqueria La Patrona is undoubtedly in my top 5 list. Here you have the options of calling in your order and picking it up, arriving and ordering and taking your food home, or simply taking a seat at one of their tables and dining outside underneath their very well built and placed canopy dining area. We had a very kind and attentive waitress that not only was taking orders and serving all the customers, she was keeping the tables/dining area very clean at the same time as well. Speaking of clean, I feel the need to mention that i was very impressed by the fact that being a strictly outdoor dining establishment, they did have a clearly visible and accessible no-touch, portable, hand washing station. Their hand washing station is available/accessible to all customers and serving staff alike. I consider this to be very hygienic, and appropriate. The food was absolutely delicious; I had the fajita tacos and my husband had the birria tacos. The tacos were excellent on portion size and the quality of the meat was awesome, no fat, no grease, no over seasoning or under seasoning. They have a variety of other meals including- tortas, synchronizadas, burger with fries, among other foods. In conclusion, I completely recommend that anyone/everyone give them a try!

Order of mixed tacos with a side of the cooks GUM. super disgusted none of my family me ever buy or chew gum. Servers didn’t care they just said well maybe it was already on the table. I was like MA’AM this gum was stocked on the plate the Fuckkkkk. Really bad service and completely disgusted went home and threw up.
