SonLight Bakery and Cafe

Our first time here, we really enjoyed the experience. Very friendly staff. Very delicious food and coffee drinks. Very clean, including the restrooms. Somewhat limited seating, but even on a Saturday morning with a steady flow of customers (some just getting takeout) there wasn’t a shortage of seats. There’s minimal parking in front and back, but don’t let that deter you from pulling in – you’ll find a spot. Give this place a try! (We got donuts and a pumpkin roll to go but haven’t tried them yet.)

A gem in such a rural area! They have a fabulous selection of donuts. We tried a half dozen. Most were well balanced, although a few had too much filling. I especially loved the strawberry cream that we tried! The donuts were a good size for the price and the brioche dough tasted fresh, although it was definitely a lower hydration, denser dough. They also have a good coffee selection made with Monin syrups. The espresso was solid and they did not overdo the syrups. We tried multiple different Spritzers as well, and we did find them to be very sweet! I would certainly ask for half sweet next time. The service was fabulous, and I loved the Christian influence. I’m excited to stop again at some point in the future!

Stopped in today and tried 3 donuts and a caramel macchiato latte. I got a peanut butter blossom donut, a Dutch apple donut, and a lemon bliss donut, all of which were super fresh and delicious. The coffee was perfect as well! So thankful this cafe opened up in our area, and look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu!

Today was my first day trying this place out, and I wasn’t disappointed. The donuts are delicious with their fluffy, soft texture with a burst of flavor in every bite. Then there is a Dark Mocha Frappe I got which was on point delicious as well! I so recommend going here!

Passing through Halifax Pa and needed breakfast! Breakfast sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had and donuts are excellent. Will definitely be stopping by again!! Premade salads looked really good as well!!

Love the Wildflower Breve with Lavender Cold Foam, Grilled Ham & Cheese with mustard on sourdough, Bagel breakfast sandwich. Everything is very yummy and so fresh. To go salads are excellent

We decided to try the newly opened Sonlight Bakery and Cafe, for breakfast and it superseded our expectations! The aesthetic was relaxed and cozy, with just the right mix of modern touches and natural elements. What really stood out, though, was the food. Seriously, it’s hands down the best breakfast we’ve tasted in the area. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Try the avocado toast! The coffee (smooth with zero bitterness) and drinks (smoothie tasted so fresh) were also top-notch, making for the perfect combo. We took a few donuts home to sample. They were perfectly sweet, offering just the right amount of flavor without being too much. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was just right for a laid-back breakfast. I don’t typically write reviews, but after our experience, they deserve it. Definitely a place we’ll be returning to!

Day-old discount donut boxes are still delicious at a good value.
