This is a bar with bar food. We waited a minimum of 15 minutes before we were acknowledged. Once they realized we were there the service was good. The timing on the food wasn’t good at all. 4 people had their food and finished before 2 of us even got our food. Everyone liked their food it just would have been nice to eat together.

This is my “go to” neighborhood bar with good bar food in a casual friendly atmosphere. It gets a little noisy sometimes but everyone is friendly and the servers are always attentive no matter how busy they are. They seem to all work together and love their job! They don’t accept cards but maybe that’s how they keep their prices so low…$12 for a sandwich and drink. I wish they had more parking because it’s a popular place.

Food does take a moment but the wait is more than worth it and the drinks are super affordable. Would highly recommend and gladly wait again. Mushroom and Swiss and fries are super amazing!

I observed the bartender—an older white woman with shoulder-length grey hair—serving multiple guests beers without checking their IDs. However, when it was my turn, she not only asked for my ID, but also questioned its validity, asked me to confirm my address, and verify my age. It was clear that I was being singled out, likely because I didn’t look like the rest of the patrons at the bar. When I declined to answer any further questions, she tossed my ID onto the bar and walked away, drawing unnecessary attention and creating a scene. It was a blatant and disappointing display of bias—one that reflects how racism continues to show up in everyday interactions, often without consequence.
