Normal Guy
Our family has been coming to Johnny Bronx for the past two years and we have always loved it. We usually stop for a slice, meatballs, cheesy breadsticks and often even a whole pizza or two at least once a week. It has become our go to for pizza.
However, lately it has become an absolute hassle. Our last 5 trips there have had messed up orders, excessive waits, and the interaction with the staff has been as if we really were just a nuisance to them.
Tonight I ordered “2 pepperoni slices and a garlic bread with cheese.”
When the order was read back to me she said “cheesy bread and one slice of pepperoni?”
I said no, 2 slices of pepperoni.
“Oh sorry, 2 slices and the cheesy bread?”
“Yes”
“The breadsticks are going to take about 7 minutes, is that ok?”
“Yes that’s fine.”
“Ok, I’ll have the total at the window for you.”
So I pull up and a different lady than the one that was on the headset is there to take my payment. I ask her to add an extra sauce before I pay and she does. Then tells me to park on the side and they will bring it out to me. So I do as directed and after almost 15 minutes, they bring it out. I open the boxes to make sure I got the right things and guess what my cheesy bread is missing? Cheese! So I walk it back up to the window where I stand for 3-4 more minutes waiting until they acknowledge me and I tell them this is supposed to have cheese on it. Instead of apologizing and offering to fix it, she looks through the payment system to see what she rang in. Then proceeds to inform me that all I paid for is garlic breadsticks without cheese and says “is that ok?” I tell her no, the cheesy bread is for my wife and she really wants the cheese on it. So she takes the box and walks it back into the kitchen area, then comes back a couple minutes later to tell me they have to charge me another $1.50 for the cheese. At this point I’m just thinking this is beyond ridiculous, so I say ok and hand her $2 cash. She then takes the cash, doesn’t off any change back, which at this point I don’t even care because now I’m sitting here wasting time while my slices are getting cold. After another 5 or so minutes she finally brings it and says “here you go”
I just grab it and leave. I get home and they threw barely any cheese on the things and just stuck them in the oven to melt it on top, there wasn’t even cheese on all the breadsticks. Things have been going like this for at least a month and a half now or maybe even two months. From now on I will try the tenmile location and if that is the same experience, then I guess we will find other pizza options.

Have only ordered by the slice, but served hot and quick. Not as large a slice as I rermember from NY or locally at Guido’s, but good flavor. The crust is a little chewy, still folds up nice to eat. The sauce and toppings light, but plenty of cheese and that’s what I like. Oil pours off the white pizza, so grab lots of napkins.

Food was very good. My family and I loved the pizza. We got the order to go. However, the girl at the drive thru was kind of rude. She was in a bad mood or something. Which is understandable everyone has a bad day but, maybe you shouldn’t be dealing with customers if your having a bad day and put someone else there to greet customers.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION POOR over $5 selection. I made a mistake in my selection which is not the point. Customer satisfaction was poor. It was my first experience at Johnny Bronx, and in reading the menu, I made a mistake based on my reading of the menu and instead of getting my favorite Peperoni sausage and mushroom It was a white sauce based jalapeño chicken. This was not to my liking. I went back and explained my situation, and was told that I would just need to buy another pizza, I said take to your manager. I then pulled up to the window and the manager said that I did indeed read the sign incorrectly and I would now need to pay for the pizza I intended on getting. Of course I could afford to buy another slice of pizza but what I am pointing out is how poor this situation was handled by the team / manager. Can they not afford to provide a customer the pizza they desire, which is under $5? Are they not making enough money that having a satisfied customer? I have NEVER been to any food establishment where there was a mistake made on item selection or poor food, which there was not either compensation to make it “right” in the customer eyes. Maybe this is what is now happening to the younger generation as the manager seemed to be relatively young. If customer satisfaction is moving toward the example of Johnny Bronx I am very sad. I hope Johnny Bronx takes these comments to heart. Of course I returned the pizza to the manager, and said that this was my first and last experience with Johnny Bronx. My daughter loves this place. I may like the pizza as well, but the customer service was so poor I will never forget my experience. I never write reviews like this, but was so surprised by my experience I needed to share it.

Cold pizza. Got it on an Uber Eats, but I tracked it and it took 8 minutes to deliver. It was just plain cold, and the crust was undercooked, it should have had some toasty brown to it. We reheated it.
The meatballs though, ugh. They had that caramel color added, fake char mark taste of frozen, store bought meatballs, not freshly made tasting, but they were at least hot.
I will definitely stick with Guidos or NY Giant Pizza.

Okay this is my second time trying this place out, first time I had it a few months ago it was alright, the pizza was a little stale and bland (got one pepperoni one special, not sure what the special was back then sorry!), nothing necessarily super wrong but the price is cheap so i didn’t complain, but this time the two slices I got were really good! Everyone has bad days or doesn’t realize food was sitting out a little too long so it’s okay haha but the pepperoni and elote slice were so good!! And super cheap. The elote I would definitely go back for. I forgot to take pictures before I started eating my bad.

Best, New York style pizza in the valley! I love this place. Quick service friendly staff and they have a happy hour! Probably the best restaurant all around for the buck! Thank you!

Small drive-through pizza place tucked away near Sonic that’s easy to miss. Serves excellent tasting slices and whole pies at reasonable prices. Very quick and great service. If you’re in the mood for a quick slice of good NY style pizza, stop by Johnny Bronx – you don’t even need to leave your car, just drive through. Order ahead if you want to drive through and pick up a whole pie. Highly recommended!

I think this place is so under rated. Such a good joint out in meridian, in my opinion the only pizza joint in meridian worth going to. The specials they have are out of this world. Some may sound weird but they always work out so well. Their spicy truffle sauce is a must.
Please try it if you haven’t. Also killer lunch specials too!
