The restaurant offers stunning views with the ocean on one side and the golf course on the other. The sashimi was remarkably fresh, and the fried dishes—including tonkatsu, menchi katsu, and Korean-style fried chicken—were all delicious.
Even the desserts left a lasting impression, particularly the matcha shaved ice and their unique crème brûlée. It was truly a memorable dining experience.
As the only Hawaiian branch of an already renowned New York establishment, having access to this caliber of restaurant on both ends of the mainland is truly a privilege for Hawaii residents.
While it makes for a perfect post-round meal after playing at Ewa Beach or Hoakalei, this restaurant is absolutely worth visiting even if you’re not golfing. It stands on its own merits as a premier dining destination.
The view is incredible!
A bright blue Ocean, a lush green golf course, and even Airplanes flying overhead. Also, The interior is elegant and upscale
This time, I tried several appetizers, pork cutlet, and the Nagasaki-style udon. The spicy udon was amazing, and everything we ordered was some of the best food I’ve had in Hawaii. Even the salad was uniquely delicious. I’ll definitely be back!!!
Our server, Antonio did a fabulous job and provided exemplary service. He was very attentive and available. He was a rockstar!
The host, Ian was super helpful and friendly. Finally, meeting the general manager and having a good dialogue in the restaurant was a pleasure. Hoon took the time and effort to ask for feedback from us about our dining experience.
The food was delivered on time and was presented well. The quality of the dishes was outstanding. We had the three course meal and had the sweet potato crème brûlée for dessert. Fantastic and kudos to the chefs.
We would be back for our next visit.
The service was warm and welcoming too! This place recently underwent a renovation so its modern chic styling is inviting and calming.
This is a Michelin recognized restaurant and it does show. Highly recommended.
The appetizer, the fried corn ribs, was something I had never tried before—savory, crispy, and very enjoyable.
The miso black cod was excellent; the sweet and delicate kabayaki-style sauce paired perfectly with the tender fish.
The sushi set tasted as fresh and authentic as what I’ve had in Japan. The hand roll combo was beautifully presented and made the meal even more enjoyable.
For dessert, the sweet potato crème brûlée was rich, smooth, and highlighted the natural sweetness of the sweet potato.
Even though this restaurant is located inside a golf course, it’s absolutely worth coming back just for the food alone—even if you’re not playing golf.
Highly recommended!
Lunch started with complimentary starters that were so tasty we wiped the plates clean. We ordered the Fried Corn Rib for $14 which came with plenty to share and the corn cheese powder and shio kombu seasoning made each bite fun. The Fried Kanikama for $16 arrived as three huge pieces that looked like real crab claws with smoky aioli and nori powder that made dipping a highlight. For drinks we enjoyed a Hawaii Sunset for $16 made with rum orgeat triple sec and pineapple that tasted like sunshine in a glass. The Japanese Old Fashioned for $19 with Suntory whisky and orange felt like a classy midday treat
For mains we tried the Pork Loin Katsu for $24. The koji marinated pork was served on a raised metal grate to keep every bite crispy which I appreciated even though the flavor did not end up being my personal favorite. The Loco Moco for $23 on the other hand absolutely stole the show. The tender tekogakibi patty made from multiple meats under a rich savory brown gravy with a sunny side up egg was full of deep comfort food flavor. It was easily the dish we will come back for. We also ordered the Open Faced Hand Roll Set with four pieces for $26. The spicy tuna roll was the clear winner and the crispy shrimp with a little touch of sweet jelly was a fun surprise. The clever plastic layer on the seaweed kept every roll perfectly crisp until the moment you took a bite
Dessert finished the meal on a smooth note with the Sweet Potato Creme Brulee for $13. Creamy light and satisfying without being too sweet or too heavy. Throughout the entire experience the service felt elevated with attention to detail and plates that looked like they belonged in a high end dinner spot not a casual lunch in a country club. The only downside was waiting nearly thirty minutes for the check to be collected which slowed the ending a bit
Even with that small delay DOMODOMO Hawaii delivers an excellent lunch experience filled with quality ingredients creative dishes and warm service. It is the kind of spot that makes you want to return soon and order that loco moco again without sharing a single bite
Honestly you would not find a restaurant of this quality in the west side of Oahu. A lot of tasty and unique menus from appetizers to hot and cold dishes.
Our favorite was Tteokgalbi loco moco, Katsu set. The sushi set was super delicious too.
I am very glad that this restaurant opened in Hawaii.
