They have the best brisket I’ve ever had. Pair that with there home made horse radish sauce and you will be in heaven. Unfortunately now when I have horseradish sauce anywhere else it just leaves me dreaming of chef Chris’s. I’ve been here dozens of times and I’ve heard people complain about the prices amongst themselves. Sorry, but if you want quality smoked meat this is the price you pay. I recently moved about an hour away but when visiting friends back in Pinckney I always stop in. Oh, and the collard greens are just like the best from Georgia. Very vinegary, very delicious. They have several types of sauce, all homemade and delicious. Texas hot is my favorite. Thanks for the amazing food all these years chef Chris!!!

We had a slab of ribs with sweet and tangy sauce, mac & cheese, cornbread, Detroit Philly and the sweet potato casserole. All was absolutely delicious! Service was fast, Chef Chris was friendly, the restaurant was clean with a nice blues/BBQ rustic vibe…and the aroma that surrounds the area (due to a smoker in the parking lot) was heavenly. The food screamed quality and pride. 5 minutes from my home, we will be frequent flyers.

I’ve been a regular here since Chef Chris opened and have been impressed with everything we have had here. In particular the pulled pork, baked beans, corn bread, chicken, potato salad, greens and ribs are exceptional. Terrific for carry out (there is a bit of seating) – just call ahead and great food is ready in 20 minutes. We had our son’s graduation party catered by Chef Chris and folks raved!

Hands down my favorite bbq place I have been to. Can be a little pricy but it’s well worth it. It has a very authentic atmosphere and helpful kind sauce. I wish there was one on every street! I definitely recommend the beef brisket. Also the sauces are to die for.

Would eat it every day if I could afford it and it wouldn’t kill me. Hand down the best BBQ place I have been to.
The only downside, is that all of the employees (The owner included) always look angry with you for deciding to exist in their store.
I have never seen the owner smile, and I am convinced that he is an otherworldly being sent here on what I believe to be a diplomatic mission from space to teach earth the secrets of perfect pulled pork.

Best BBQ around. Everything is amazing. I love their pulled pork and their Texas-style BBQ sauce. My father loves their brisket and is from Kansas City and he can’t stop eating at this place.

Chef Chris has the best BBQ I have found in MI or any where else for that matter. Boogie Woogie has set the bar for brisket, pulled pork, chicken, ribs and I can’t say enough about the links. BOOGIE WOOGIE IS A MUST TRY!!!!!
If they sold out… that usually means the food is delicious.

The best BBQ in Southeast Michigan. Quality is consistently top notch which to me sets apart chef Chris’. It’s a bit out there from the freeways, but it is worth the 15 minute detour.

This is my first time.
I have to say, I hate cornbread.
But, this is really good!
Not sure what that means for people that do like cornbread. Lol
I got the brisket and it’s on point.
If you like bbq made right with time and a experienced hand, this is it. The brisket rides that edge of perfect and too much smokiness. I don’t know if it gets better!
It’s no where near dry, but wish I got a different cut. With a brisket this good I would pay more for the burnt ends.
I’ll be back for sure!

Nice tasty food. I had brisket w/mac and cheese. Perfect portion size for me, will be back. Want to talk with the Chef about the Katrina fund – raiser at the Roadhouse- tell him how awesome it was.
