The food was very tasty and delivery was within the estimated time. We ordered the General Tso Chicken (pretty standard), BBQ ribs (juicy), Beef Lo Mein, Moo Shi Pork, chicken wings (juicy), crab Rangoon (mostly cream cheese but tasty nonetheless), shredded beef (not what I expected but delicious) and Singapore Mei Fun. We ordered online using Q menu. They texted a link to my order and also called to make verify that I was the real cardholder, which I appreciated. Everything was so much better than I expected from a takeout place. The only dish that was spicy was the Mei Fun and that’s because we selected the Extra Spicy option. The only con was that we ordered lo Mein noodle substitute (+$3) in the Mei Fun but they didn’t substitute it. We ordered quite a bit of food and it was all still hot when it arrived. I would order from Sun Hing again.

I’ve ordered takeout from here twice now, and I’ve been happy both times. I ordered the lunch special chicken with garlic sauce, and I got it medium spicy, and it’s exactly the spice level I’d expect. The sauce is a little tangy, and it comes with chicken, snow peas, broccoli, carrots, baby corn, green bell pepper, and water chestnuts. Since it’s the lunch special, it came with a couple scoops of rice and a side of soup or a can of soda. I went with the egg drop soup, and it’s pretty good. I also ordered steamed pork dumplings. They’re very good! The dumpling is a thicker dough, and the dipping sauce is on the sweeter side.

Sun Hing was very reasonably priced when ordering direct from the restaurant over the phone, but I’m not sure I loved the taste of everything I ordered.

The medley in the pipe platter are mostly items I’d mostly pass on again. Shrimp toast and ribs were good, but not great. Chicken and egg rolls were ok. The tofu skins were ok, but also weren’t my favorite. The orange chicken was VERY orangey , so that’ll be dependent on your personal preference. My husband liked them, I didn’t.

I didn’t have any issues with the food I’d ordered, but would try different things next time.

We tried Sun Hing for the first time last night and it was amazing! The quality and quantity for the price is fantastic. We got the family combo for 3 and it was fabulous. Great service and great flavor. Sun Hing will be a new regular spot!

Sun Hing always comes through in the clutch!

The Orange Chicken combo was spot on—plump, juicy chicken with a perfect crunch, coated in a tangy orange-based sauce. The pork fried rice was loaded with flavorful morsels that made every bite a treat.

I also ordered a noodle dish online with a few modifications. When my note didn’t quite make sense, they called me right away to clarify. Not only was my order adjusted perfectly, but the delivery was on time, and the dish turned out exactly how I wanted.

Fast, friendly service and great communication—Sun Hing has earned its spot as my go-to for takeout!

Was a bit pricey but had good reviews so I tried it. I ordered Mushu pork, shrimp egg roll, and crab rangoon. All tasted pretty good, not any better or worse than other spots I’ve tried. However, did give me gnarly food poisoning that I now get to deal with all day. Leftovers are in the garbage, lord only knows where my organs will be at the end of all this.

I’ve been ordering takeout here for over 15 years. Very nice family business with tasty affordable food. The lunch specials are awesome and also love the bean curd soup for two. Good eggrolls too!

Gave me a quart container of what I’m guessing is chop suey rather than chow mein… no noodles to be found though. No broth either. Just looks like boiled chicken and cabbage. But she said it’s definitely chow mein, must be a regional thing? Not a fan

Chicken and string beans was 95% beans, just a couple bites of chicken. Never again

Finding a good Chinese takeout spot can be a bit of a challenge. However, Sun Hing Chinese Takeout on Light Street managed to pleasantly surprise me with their flavorful dishes and friendly service. In a neighborhood filled with average options, Sun Hing offers a decent alternative for those seeking a taste of Chinese cuisine.

At first glance, the exterior of Sun Hing might not impress you like a high-end restaurant would. However, don’t be too quick to judge a book by its cover. Once inside, you’ll find that the chefs work hard to create dishes that are satisfying and enjoyable.

From the moment I placed my order, the staff’s warm and welcoming attitude made me feel appreciated as a customer. The service was prompt and efficient, ensuring that my food was ready for pick-up in a reasonable amount of time.

The highlight of my order was the Chicken Lo Mein, which offered a nice blend of flavors and textures. The noodles were cooked well, with a good balance between tenderness and firmness. The chicken was seasoned adequately and cooked decently, though it could have been a bit more tender. The vegetables, fresh and colorful, added a pleasant crunch to the dish. The sauce, while not extraordinary, was savory enough to bring the dish together.

While Sun Hing Chinese Takeout on Light Street might not be the ultimate destination for Chinese cuisine, it’s certainly worth a try if you’re in the area and seeking a change from the usual takeout options. Give it a shot and experience the enjoyable flavors that Sun Hing has to offer.
