I’ve been living across the street from Ikko for going on 3 years now and it’s been detrimental to my wallet in the best way.
Best miso soup around. Best salmon nigiri and sashimi around. Fantastic sake don and chirashi bowls. Incredible rolls (regular and specialty). Just all around delicious.

The food and service at Ikko is amazing!! One of the best sushi spots in Silver Spring. My friends and I visit frequently. We also love the air purifiers in the restaurant as well.

Nice little sushi spot I found close to my hotel. The sushi was delicious! Stopped twice this week so far and got some spicy tuna rolls and and spicy salmon rolls. My favorite so far is the Salmon Carpaccio, very delicious! The staff is really friendly and the service was top tier! I’ll probably stop back before I head out.

10/10 recommend! We took our kids for their first sushi experience, and it was great. (Our kids are extremely picky eaters.) They loved the miso soup to start. They tried simple sushi rolls and went back for more. And they enjoyed the ramen. The staff was so kind and seemed experienced in serving children – providing training chop sticks and chocolate at just the right moments. As adults, the food tasted so good and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun! Definitely will try again!

Some of the better sushi I’ve had in the area. The employees were incredibly friendly and were even willing to honor a discount I’d seen online even though I had read it wrong.
The nigiri (sushi) sampler was great and well made. The fish tasted fresh and you can really tell the difference one option to another. The rice is good, sticky with just a touch of salt. My only gripe is that in the Sushi Regular (10 pc variety) it was 2 pieces of 5 different fish rather than 10 different options.
The inside was incredibly clean and quite cute, very cozy lighting. Option to order via tablet or by person.
Really worth checking out for your sushi needs.

Fantastic food, clean environment, great ambiance, and quick & excellent service- even close to closing! I just found out about this place and while it’s a little outside the heart of downtown silver spring, it’s at a nice, quiet location and the dining experience really was excellent. Great for a date or delicious Asian cuisine. Will definitely be returning! 🙂

I feel that a roll priced at $19 should come in a slightly larger portion. The roll I received seemed quite small for the price, and even two of them wouldn’t be enough to feel satisfied.

Good quality ingredients, had some very creative and well crafted rolls on the menu. Portions were not as large as I would have liked for the prices, but not a deterent. Food prep was a tad slow because the dish I ordered was complicated to make. The service was very good. Staff there are very accommodating, and they have outdoor seating on the side.
