Small space and pretty cramped, which makes it get very loud. The hostess was incredibly nice and helpful and our server was friendly and attentive.

The food and drinks were great, though.

Drinks: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These were creative and well done

Arancini: ⭐⭐⭐ the risotto was bland but the sauce was so good it made up for it

Chicken parmesan: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was so tender and well breaded that my wife accidentally cut it with the back of her knife. It was tender and crunchy, great flavor

Smores lava cake: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super good until you run out of the gelato, since that balances thr richness of the rest. Definitely worth getting though

Shrimp linguine: ⭐⭐⭐ The flavor is on point but if you’ve followed my reviews for and amount of time you’ll know how much I hate shrimp with the tails still on. It sucks to dig through your food and get sauce all over your fingers to get the tails off. The dish would have been 5 stars without that

We came for Valentine’s Day and it was perfect! They had a special crafted drink and food menu for the occasion. Atmosphere was perfect for date night- staff was attentive even given how busy it was! Food was 11/10. Everything was perfect. Cannot wait to come back and try something else even though my swordfish was so perfect it’ll be hard for me to want to pick anything else!

An amazing gem in Libertyville for a refreshing dining experience. The food is made in house and is just amazing. Other than having their own livestock in the parking lot, everything is from scratch.
The menu covers a broad range of tastes. Main Street will not let you down.
I highly recommend.

I had a great brunch at Main Street Social with six friends on a Sunday at noon. We made a reservation ahead of time, which made getting seated a breeze.

The Bloody Marys were a big hit at our table, and I personally loved the Lower Wacker Drive cocktail—it was incredibly refreshing with a delicious minty cucumber flavor.

For brunch, I had the Short Rib Hash, and it was delicious. The meat was tender and the dish was packed with flavor.

Our server was friendly, patient, and made our dining experience effortless. Overall, a great spot for brunch with a welcoming atmosphere.

We’ve been here a few times now for food and drinks. The drink menu has a lot of interesting options. The pictures I posted were from multiple visits.

The menu offers a solid lineup of innovated-upon American classics, and everything we ordered was delicious. No complaints.

The servers are always friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu.

Highly recommend booking a reservation through OpenTable ahead of time. The process was smooth, and we’re always seated right away with a reservation.

I do recommend sitting outside. They have outdoor heaters and an outdoor fireplace.

Overall, a great spot for a relaxed, high-quality dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

The hostess and the server were both exceptionally friendly, helpful, and patient. The cocktails were absolutely beautiful and tasted every bit as delicious as they looked. (You know a cocktail is exemplary when you’re willing to buy more than one @ $18.) So many things on the menu tempted me, but I finally settled on the salmon and I was not disappointed. At first I didn’t think the mango sauce was a good match for the cheesy polenta cake. Each component was delicious; I just didn’t think they complemented each other at first. But by the last half of the meal, I changed my tune. It was an unusual but really wonderful pairing of all the flavors.

I would dine here again in a heartbeat. (And I hope I do – there are many more things on the menu I’d like to try!)

I recently took my grandma to Main Street Social for Sunday brunch, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I had made a reservation online, and upon arrival, we were seated right away without any delay. We started with their bloody Marys, which were absolutely delicious. My grandma ordered the breakfast sandwich, while I opted for the lobster Benedict. The food was perfectly prepared with a rich, flavorful hollandaise sauce and a generous portion of lobster. Beyond the amazing food, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. I highly recommend Main Street Social for anyone looking for a top-notch brunch spot.

Over the years, this Libertyville standout has steadily come into its own, and our visits over the past year in particular have underscored just how much it has matured. Once a reliable local favorite, it now feels confidently established—comfortable in its identity and consistent in its execution.
During the warmer months, the restaurant’s quaint yet inviting outdoor seating proved especially appealing, offering a relaxed setting that complemented the kitchen’s strengths. Most recently, we returned with good friends for an evening that was, in nearly every respect, marvelous. We were seated immediately, a small but meaningful gesture that set a welcoming tone. Cocktails arrived promptly and were well made across the table, providing a polished start to the meal.
The menu leans Italian, and rightly so. Every entrée ordered by our party fell within this section, and each was executed with care and balance. In my experience, this is where the restaurant truly excels; the Italian offerings represent the strongest and most compelling portion of the menu. The wine list paired nicely with the food, offering solid choices that enhanced the overall dining experience without pretense.
Service was another highlight. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful—present when needed and unobtrusive when not. The only notable drawback to the evening was the noise level. While the dining room began at a comfortable half capacity, it filled quickly, and with that came a volume that made conversation increasingly difficult once entrées were served.
Even so, this minor critique does little to diminish what the restaurant does exceptionally well. It remains a standout in Libertyville—a place that has grown, refined itself, and continues to deliver memorable evenings. Highly recommended.

Update. Went for dinner. We ate delicious and unique lobster capellini and grilled salmon over polenta cake. Really seasoned well and delicious. Mediterranean salad is huge and good to share. Like sitting in the outdoor tent. Received wonderful service by David. Angela came over to make sure we were enjoying our meal and the atmosphere. We had a great experience.

Went for Sunday brunch with family. Service was excellent. Attentive. Paced well. Food brought out hot and delicious.
Ricotta lemon pancakes are huge and addicting. Can’t wait to get these again. They were absolutely perfect.
Ordered burgers with fries. Cooked perfectly per request. Apple salad was huge and delicious. Will go back. Server was super. Added. Best whip cream with pancakes I ever had. Brunch menu is fantastic.
