Reviews
The food and drinks were great, though.
Drinks: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These were creative and well done
Arancini: ⭐⭐⭐ the risotto was bland but the sauce was so good it made up for it
Chicken parmesan: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was so tender and well breaded that my wife accidentally cut it with the back of her knife. It was tender and crunchy, great flavor
Smores lava cake: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super good until you run out of the gelato, since that balances thr richness of the rest. Definitely worth getting though
Shrimp linguine: ⭐⭐⭐ The flavor is on point but if you’ve followed my reviews for and amount of time you’ll know how much I hate shrimp with the tails still on. It sucks to dig through your food and get sauce all over your fingers to get the tails off. The dish would have been 5 stars without that
The menu covers a broad range of tastes. Main Street will not let you down.
I highly recommend.
The Bloody Marys were a big hit at our table, and I personally loved the Lower Wacker Drive cocktail—it was incredibly refreshing with a delicious minty cucumber flavor.
For brunch, I had the Short Rib Hash, and it was delicious. The meat was tender and the dish was packed with flavor.
Our server was friendly, patient, and made our dining experience effortless. Overall, a great spot for brunch with a welcoming atmosphere.
The menu offers a solid lineup of innovated-upon American classics, and everything we ordered was delicious. No complaints.
The servers are always friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu.
Highly recommend booking a reservation through OpenTable ahead of time. The process was smooth, and we’re always seated right away with a reservation.
I do recommend sitting outside. They have outdoor heaters and an outdoor fireplace.
Overall, a great spot for a relaxed, high-quality dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!
I would dine here again in a heartbeat. (And I hope I do – there are many more things on the menu I’d like to try!)
During the warmer months, the restaurant’s quaint yet inviting outdoor seating proved especially appealing, offering a relaxed setting that complemented the kitchen’s strengths. Most recently, we returned with good friends for an evening that was, in nearly every respect, marvelous. We were seated immediately, a small but meaningful gesture that set a welcoming tone. Cocktails arrived promptly and were well made across the table, providing a polished start to the meal.
The menu leans Italian, and rightly so. Every entrée ordered by our party fell within this section, and each was executed with care and balance. In my experience, this is where the restaurant truly excels; the Italian offerings represent the strongest and most compelling portion of the menu. The wine list paired nicely with the food, offering solid choices that enhanced the overall dining experience without pretense.
Service was another highlight. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful—present when needed and unobtrusive when not. The only notable drawback to the evening was the noise level. While the dining room began at a comfortable half capacity, it filled quickly, and with that came a volume that made conversation increasingly difficult once entrées were served.
Even so, this minor critique does little to diminish what the restaurant does exceptionally well. It remains a standout in Libertyville—a place that has grown, refined itself, and continues to deliver memorable evenings. Highly recommended.
Went for Sunday brunch with family. Service was excellent. Attentive. Paced well. Food brought out hot and delicious.
Ricotta lemon pancakes are huge and addicting. Can’t wait to get these again. They were absolutely perfect.
Ordered burgers with fries. Cooked perfectly per request. Apple salad was huge and delicious. Will go back. Server was super. Added. Best whip cream with pancakes I ever had. Brunch menu is fantastic.
