Early dinner for two at a hidden jewel in North Hills where we were the only guests in the dining room. We shared appetizers: spicy grilled cauliflower served in a flavorful sauce and Len-Chili soup, a combination chili bean and lentil presented as two soups in one bowl. Quick service of separate entrees: Jasmine’s Favorite Beef Schwarma and Jasmine’s Favorite Lamb. Tender grilled meat, no shavings, served atop rice mixed with carrot, chickpeas, onion, potato and chili bean. Enjoyed the flavors and left with take-home. If we’d known the portions were so generous, we’d have ordered one entree.

Let me start with this: I am absolutely biased because Aladdin’s is my favorite restaurant ever! And I’m not ashamed to admit it. I’ve practically followed this place across states and cities.

I discovered Aladdin’s years ago when I lived in Northern Virginia. After that first visit, I was hooked and started going several times a year. When the Shirlington location closed, they reopened in Burke, and that became my new go‑to spot every time I visited the area. And then, heartbreak ☹, they closed that location too.

One day I randomly searched to see if they had opened anywhere else, and you won’t believe it… they popped up right here in North Carolina, the same state I now live in! And while it’s not in Charlotte, my brother lives in Raleigh, which means every trip to see him doubles as an excuse to visit Aladdin’s.

My usual order is the shawarma rolled, and trust me when I say it’s the best! The savory, flavorful meat paired with those pickled veggies, plus all the heavenly spices and sauces, well t’s just perfect! I’ve had shawarma at countless places over the years, and nothing even comes close to theirs. I typically grab an appetizer as well, dolmas or falafel. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Every dish I’ve tried has been spectacular. Introduced my brother and wife to this place, and they’ve already been back!

To give you an idea of how deep my love for this place goes, the last time I visited I ordered 4 extra shawarma rolls to go, froze them, and rationed them out at home. They don’t hold up perfectly after being frozen but I did still enjoy every single one. Aladdin’s will always be one of those rare restaurants that I go out of my way to visit and I’ll continue to stop by as often as I possibly can. If you love Mediterranean flavors (Lebanese) this spot is a must!!!

Love this place. The service is incredible, the options for different diets is so helpful. I feel so good after eating at this place, everything feels so fresh and healthy, but also delicious at the same time. Coffee with dessert is a must.

UPDATE #2: Still FIVE STARS! Aladdin’s Eatery at North Hills is our neighborhood FIVE STAR spot for consistently great meals, outstanding desserts, and a casual atmosphere. My favorites are the V-9 ‘comfort soup with chicken and feta cheese, spicy cauliflower, or the Aladdin’s Lamb Roll. But, so many other great choices! The pizza photo is a grandchild’s favorite. Desserts seem endless. In the spring, summer, and fall months, outdoor dining is a pleasure. To the Aladdin team: Thank you and keep up the great work! Some new exterior photos included.

The food was fantastic. The fried cauliflower was tantalizing and delicious. Tried the genie’s plate and had two meals out of it. Would definitely recommend to try. The lamb was excellently seasoned and tender. Would definitely buy again.

We tried a few options at this restaurant for lunch recently. The hummus was the only highlight. The meat and dessert were below average, it was dry. Also, the extra charge for the sauce that’s mentioned on menu to be part of the dish is ridiculous. The wait staff can surely improve the service experience.

The food was rich and delicious, service from Montana was wonderful. Had the biggest tuna schwarma sandwich for TEN BUCKS AND FIFTY CENTS. This place is unreal. Next time you’re thinking about eating at some mediocre chain restaurant, COME HERE! Just totally wowed. This place rocks

We had the experience of visiting this place on weekday for dinner. We have been to many Lebanese restaurants across the globe in the past and our taste buds expected a bit more than what was offered I suppose .
We had ordered an Aladdin pitza, a falafel combo and Jasmines bowl with a strawberry cake .
We are a bit disappointed by the taste as it wasn’t flavorsome but definitely healthier as compared to many eat outs.
Even the Dips wasn’t too thick and was of less flavor .
Overall it was an okay experience for us .

Went on a spot decision after shopping. We’re so glad we did! The food was superb, some of the best middle eastern we’ve had. The chicken pitza was delicately flavoursome and the chicken pita roll( special) was an absolute delight. Each dish has its own unique and distinctive flavour. We finished with the tiramisu and couldn’t resist taking a piece of chocolate torte to go. The meal was filling but also light on the stomach
