I just had the BEST sandwich ever @ Charlie’s cafe… the roasted Turkey avacado on wheat berry bread. (Wheat berry bread was a vegan option and I am not vegan but the clerk taking our order recommended it… man was she spot on!!) So fresh and amazing!! Would HIGHLY recommend!!

I am writing to express my concern about the employees at your shop. I went in to check out your menu and the girl who was working came out under a black apron underneath a cabinet or shelving unit in the end by the windows. This looked really weird to me. On the way out I saw that she went back under the black apron and appeared to be taking a nap. This was at 1:00 on a Sunday and might have been a slow time, but really, sleeping on the job? Very disappointing!

Coffee was good, service was quick. Everybody wants to hear a complaint, so here it is: I had the breakfast wrap, and it was so hot when I got it that it took me 30 minutes to eat it without burning my fingers. Zero legitimate complaints. I was even entertained by the crazy lady who told the cops that, “President Biden is on his way down here” before they escorted her out. People have complained about the service at Charlies- try going to the Red Slipper/Ruby Sneaker/ whatever the hell their name is around the corner and deal with rude, ignorant, lazy, condescending, inattentive staff. I’ll take Charlie’s every time!

I am writing to express my concern regarding the poor service my family and I received during our recent visit to Charlie’s cafe on May 30th, 2025. While we were in the process of making a purchase, my child urgently needed to use the restroom. Unfortunately, the employee on duty refused to provide the restroom code until our payment went through, even though we were clearly in the middle of a transaction. Despite explaining the urgency of the situation. The employee showed no sympathy and displayed inhuman actions towards us.
This lack of understanding and rigid enforcement of policy, especially in a situation involving a child was both disappointing and frustrating. We expect basic human decency and customer service, particularly when we are paying customers. I would appreciate if this matter could be looked at and addressed appropriately. I hope that your staff can be reminded of the importance of customer care and handling sensitive situations with more compassion.

Had a good experience at Charlie’s in Destin at the wharf, breakfast burrito and donuts were on point, coffee and service was good, the matcha latte needs a little work lol but overall good experience, will definitely be back. Thanks to the staff!!!

Breakfast wrap (no meat) was very good! Crossiant also good! Tasted fresh and neither were soggy, etc. Donuts were excellent! Best I’ve ever had! Fresh and flavor good – custard in Long John was excellent! Iced Latte also made well!
