Hot honey catfish was amazing as was the positive vibe here. Got there right after it opened and watched it fill up fast. Word must be getting out! I drive charter coach and love to find local “gems” that make food with love and passion and that’s what I found here. Very satisfied and highly recommend these good people and great food!

My boyfriend has tried the connecuh burger, as well as a catfish plate, and both were EXCELLENT! The catfish wasn’t fishy at all, and that’s how you know it’s well prepared. The connecuh burger has the sausage as ground meat mixed with hamburger. It is the most interesting and delicious salty sweet flavor.

The food was absolutely delicious. Fried fish, pork chops and hamburger steak was the selection. I was not disappointed. Timing was not as expected for the food wait but I’ll give it that we did walk in at the time of opening. The owner really displays the spot of a more different look that you wouldn’t ordinarily see in Tuscaloosa. It’s a really good look.

Today was my first time getting something from there, I was excited to try a new place but as soon as I get the food and walk out I notice how light the bag was, I ordered a 8 piece wing and a catfish sandwich. The sandwich was 10/10 but the wings? No ma’am. They were so tiny and unseasoned, fries the same way. The whole time we were there waiting they also were being so loud in the back and screaming like little kids. Not all happy and this food is not worth the 4.5 stars they have.

They were all around great. Loved the customer service you don’t get that hardly anywhere. The food was delicious and we had to drive at least 30 minutes home but our FF where still crunchy and savory love the real bacon they used we will be going back.
I will say though the ranch is not my favorite it reminds me of the flavor of Mc Donald’s ranch dressing. But everything else was really good.

Food was good but not awesome. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food. We heard them tell another customer they were out of rice but didn’t mention it to us and we had rice as a side for one plate. They told us we would get 25% off next order but didn’t give us a coupon or anything. Did offer us cake. Get home and they gave us 2 sides of mashed potatoes in place of rice but didn’t ask. Beef tips were mediocre. Cheeseburger and onion rings were good. Fried bologna sandwich was ok and fried okra was good.

I heard so many good things about this place but when I went today to try for the first time I was met at the door by a guy. He told me that on Wednesday they open at 12 for soul food. “You know that soul food got to cook”. That isn’t what it says on the door or when you google the business. Both stated that they open at 11am on Wednesday. This is an inconvenience for someone trying to support you and you are going to pick and choose what days and times you are going to open at random. Bad for business! If you know that it takes longer to cook soul food change the posted hours!
UPDATE: I went back yesterday and I had a different experience. The owner was really nice and welcoming. I love the decor! I waited longer than expected but the wings and strawberry cake were delicious! I will be back again!

Definitely recommend!! Food was GREAT! Wings are top notch with lots of different wing flavors to choose from! The inside matches the “Southern Bite” feel with handcrafted paintings and a nice dine in welcome.
Very versatile menu, I have got to try the Sunday dinner now.

Absolutely stellar. We came with a group of 4. We all got the special. Bacon cheeseburger fries and wings for 12.99. We all got different wings. Very excellent. The atmosphere is super warm and it’s always great to get served by the owner themselves

Great service. Loved the interior of the place. Place was packed out because of being newly opened. Had some of the BEST wings I’ve had in my life. Fries were also phenomenal. This place is going to need a bigger spot if they keep cooking like this! Can’t wait to go back.
