Yes it is in a gas station, but it’s different than all the other typical Mexican restaurants in Decatur… not because of the gas station but because the various menu items and how they make them. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. Highly recommend to anyone.

I live across town, but I make sure to stop every chance I get! The food is AMAZING. I order ahead, pull up to the window, and it’s always ready when I get there. They are also super friendly. If you want to order at the drive up, just pull right up to the window on the side of the building. They will come over as soon as they are free.

I just tried this place today, and I really appreciated how friendly the staff were to me. The guacamole was very fresh and well seasoned, but the other food I ordered was not as flavorful as I would have liked it to be.

Wife ordered shrimp fajitas. It was awful. Only 4-5 shrimps in the meal, wilted peppers and onions drenched in oil and grease. Barely any rice or beans to be even considered as a side. No queso added and the menu clearly has it included. On top of all that it was $14??? Tacos are $4.40 and barely even worth it. I was excited about this place since I live nearby but I’d rather just drive to la perlitas.

This place embodies a true Taqueria. no frills just an amazing quality and an amazing taste. The meat is seasoned perfectly, the tortillas are perfect, and the sauces are homemade and fantastic. The Monterey tacos are something to behold. Food Quality is top-notch!

Do yourself a favor and completely ignore that this place is in a gas station. The food is absolutely amazing, especially the birria which you can’t get anywhere else in the area to my knowledge. Prices are very reasonable for the portions you get. Guacamole was fresh and very well seasoned. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Give it a try!
