10 out of 5 stars. From the moment we stepped in to left, EVERYTHING was an experience beyond what we expected. We made reservations 3 weeks ahead – highly recommend. Summer, our sweet waitress, suggested some great options. A Garden party and Margarita for drinks set the stage for what’s to come.We had the ‘Wagyu Beef’ Kofta special as appetizers with the parmesan rolls. Followed by Whipped Burrata and Filet Mignon – the plates look like art. And taste is on point. We had no room for dessert, tho they looked delicious. This is going to be our regular when we visit again.

This place was a beautiful restaurant, the service was fantastic, food was very good, elk, bass, salmon, chicken liver. We enjoyed it all. Price was a little on the steep side but you pay for the atmosphere and service.

Came for my wife’s birthday during a short trip to Pinehurst. Great menu and service. Appreciated the recognition for her birthday. Had a perfect table for 2 below an interesting original Dr Suess painting (not from children’s books! ). My wife was very pleased with her special night out. Thank you!

Made Valentines Day reservations weeks in advance. We arrived about 2-3 minutes early for the reservation. When we got there and gave the staff our name, they looked confused, and didn’t give us any information, so we stood at the door for 15-20 minutes with two other couples. When we finally are escorted to our table, we are taken out of the main restaurant and into the cabinet store that is connected. The room was clearly thrown together last minute and was not a nice atmosphere. It felt like a quick money grab and anyone in there was an afterthought. Service also took forever in that room. The main dishes were okay, though they seemed to be a bit over priced for what was served. Some of the sides, like the truffle mac, wasn’t even seasoned. Worst experience in a fine(r) dining establishment in quite some time. Actually apologized to my wife in the car on the way home. It’s overpriced, under portioned, and just feels like whatever magic it may have once had is now just a way of making people pay a ton for an extremely lackluster experience.

We will never be back.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

My wife and I recently moved to the area and have been enjoying trying new restaurants.

My wife is a physician, and for Christmas she received a gift card to Elliots from her boss, who highly recommended it. Around the same time, our daughter was visiting from Italy, so we thought this would be a perfect opportunity to enjoy a special family lunch together.

Unfortunately, what we expected to be a memorable experience turned into the most disappointing and unpleasant restaurant experience we have ever had.

When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, which we assumed was because it was lunchtime. As we walked in, we spoke to the chef and asked whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. From the very beginning, the chef did not seem interested in welcoming us at all and simply told us to sit anywhere.

We then sat at our table for nearly 30 minutes. During that time, an employee walked by several times but never acknowledged us—not even to say “someone will be with you shortly.” We initially thought they might be preparing to help us, but no one ever came. It felt as though we were invisible.

Feeling extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome, we eventually decided to leave quietly. As we walked out, the chef saw us leaving and showed no concern or interest whatsoever.

We are still unsure whether we were ignored because we were the only family there or for some other reason, but at no point did we feel welcome. It was an upsetting and unacceptable experience.

We will never return, and we would strongly advise others to think twice before dining here, as no customer should ever feel ignored, unwelcome, or disrespected in a restaurant.

Beautiful space and food presentation, although some of the flavors incorporated in the dishes did not mesh well together. The service was descent, yet it was overpriced. At the end of our mill, their was a roach crawling on the well next to me. I won’t be back due to that and the prices.

The food was AMAZING! I can’t wait to visit and come back here. They have a fantastic wine collection, too! Try the wasabi mashed potatoes with a Viogner, you’re welcome.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner last night, and I’m so glad he picked it! We had a reservation for 7:30 and they sat us right away. I really loved that the waitress didn’t come over to the table for a couple of minutes after we sat down, so we had plenty of time for a look at the menu. Too often when we go out, I don’t even get the chance to look at the drink menu before I’m being asked what I would like, and since this was a surprise dinner, I didn’t get a chance to look at the menu online.

We split the Serrano ham appetizer, which came with a nice bruchetta, and it was absolutely wonderful. The portion was perfect for two people, but I kind of regretted sharing since it was so good. I got my old fashioned smoked, and it was poured table side and the entire drink was wonderful, as was my husband’s pilsner.

For dinner, I ordered the elk while my husband ordered the fillet. I went with the recommended med rare for the elk, and it was cooked perfectly. And I say that as someone who eats blue-rare steak normally. It was easy to cut, tender, and the sauce served with it was amazing. My husband’s fillet was also melt in the mouth, and our sides (potatoes, truffle Mac and cheese, and brussel sprouts) all tasted great, even if they weren’t exactly my thing. No reflection on the chef or the taste; I just personally like saucier Mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes had carrots, ham, and something else in them, and the texture was a bit too much for me.

For dessert we ordered the creme brulee and the goat cheese cheesecake. Both good, but I had to take half the cheesecake home because my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach at this point.

The absolute best part of this meal was how unhurried we felt. I didn’t even notice that it took us two hours for the whole experience. I absolutely love that there was some time between the appetizer and the main course for us to sit, talk, and just enjoy instead of rushing through dinner. The patio with the fire pit looked so cozy I kind of wish we’d gotten there earlier for a drink and to sit outside (and it hasn’t been so cold!).

Overall, the service was excellent with the single mistake being corrected quickly, and the food itself was amazing. Absolute five star experience.

Melt in your mouth filet mignon. My dinner companion had the Lamb Ragu Pappardelle Pasta and said it was divine as well. The wine options were outstanding and we had the Crème brûlée as well as the Apple dessert. It was a cozy atmosphere and just sad I didn’t try this place sooner. Highly recommend (this was May 2024)

An unforgettable dining experience. The chef at Elliot’s showcases remarkable culinary talent, matched by equally impressive bartending. We started with the lobster bisque—easily the best I’ve ever had—along with the cepeachi and crab hush puppies, each beautifully crafted and full of robust flavor. For entrées, we enjoyed the elk, filet mignon, and salmon—all cooked to perfection and creatively presented. We paired them with a smooth Merlot, seriously THE BEST Old Fashioned I’ve had to date, and a rich espresso martini. Dessert was the grand finale: the sticky bread pudding and chocolate torte were indulgent and unforgettable. We used some of the caramel torte drizzle on the chocolate torte and it was chef’s kiss.
Service was top-notch—especially from Matt (the older one), whose wit, professionalism, and attentiveness elevated the experience. We left with full bellies and completely blown away by the evening.

The food was delicious! The service was good. We weren’t rushed. The prices is reasonable. Chef Warrens in Southern Pines was our favorite date night. I have to admit this is our new date night going forward. We spent half of the money we would have spent at Chef Warrens. We will be back here again. Thank you staff for an great experience.
