Sauce on the Side may be quick, and take food and drink orders at the counter, but we are not the standard fast-casual restaurant. After ordering food and drinks, we invite our guests to enjoy a hospitable, full-service experience – food, refills and additional service is provided at the table without the guest having to get up from their seat. Our food is award-winning, craveable and comforting. We make our own dough, prepare our sauces and dressings in-house, chop fresh produce and source high quality meats and cheeses. All of this work, allows us to deliver food to be proud of.

I ordered online and it was simple and the food was prepared faster than the estimated time. The size of the calzone is pretty big and would have been my whole meal for the day (might even have some leftovers).
I got Meet Me In St Louie and the food itself had good flavour although a little bit salty in my opinion. It was tasty but I don’t think I can eat the entire thing in one sitting.
There’s plenty of seating available at this location and the service was not too bad. The area gets pretty busy though so I assume the place would get packed during lunch and dinner rush.

The large salads are large. My rookie mistake was ordering a large salad and a calzone. It was too much food. I ordered the fatty B and it was fantastic. I usually don’t enjoy canzone because the crust is hard pizza crust. Not so at sauce on the side. The crust is almost pastry tezture.
Fountain drinks are so carbonated that you can taste the CO2. The only issue. Customer service was ourstanding.

Always love coming here for a piping hot, handmade calzone! Prices are pretty reasonable and there are so many flavors to choose from including a make-your-own option! Great for picky eaters.
I ordered the Gonzo. Love the stringyness of the cheese, succulent salami, and a hint of sweetness from dates. They give you a fairly sized large cup of garlic butter on the side. Parmesan is shredded fresh on top and the atmosphere is always fresh! Bonus having a Paper Mario Easter egg on the wall. Will come back. Delicious!

Stopped by for some lunch for the first time and had a great experience. Staff were friendly, food came out quickly and was delicious. Great portion size. I appreciated the boxes and lids available for leftovers. Really enjoyed this place and will be back for sure!

It’s a interesting place with only salads and calzones. There are different types of these but there is nothing other than that. We tired a pesto and veggie, it was good to taste and presentation. The server explained us the menu in detailed as was our first time there. Overall it is good experience for having a calzone or salad.

This is my first time in MO for work and on our way home we decided to stop here for the first time. We are really glad we did. My daughter and I loved this cute spot. My daughter especially loved it because she always asks for extra sauce on the side. The staff was friendly! It was our first time here and they gave us helpful suggestions and were patient with my while I decided. The calzones were delicious! I’d definitely come again if we get to come back to MO!!!!

I can’t remember what my mom got to order but she got something with the sausage and all meats and some ricotta cheese or some type of soft white cheese and it was amazing with the marinara/ red meat sauce! I would highly recommend going here!

We were looking for a quick bite while in the area and decided on Sauce on the Side Curbside Pickup. Online ordering was a breeze, the wait time wasn’t long, and the employee was super friendly who brought out our food. Great curbside service!! The calzones we tried were really good too. Love the different sauces to choose from. That BBQ ranch…..OMG so good! We’ll definitely be back!

What I got was good, but make sure you get what you actually paid for. I ordered a large smoked salad and added marinaded steak to it for an up charge. Photo attached… see any steak? Nope.
Ordered two calzones. The one that was eaten tonight was good. The one for tomorrow was ordered with extra steak. We will see tomorrow if I actually got that or not.
Food is good, just make sure you actually check everything before you leave to be sure you got what you paid for.
Edit: Dropping the food review to 1 star. Having the 2nd calzone now for lunch. Sure enough, as I suspected… the extra steak I PAID for is not in there. A small, pathetic amount of steak at best is inside the calzone. So if you pay their upcharges for extras on a carryout order, be absolutely sure you open every box and inspect your food to be SURE you got what you paid for… or you apparently won’t get it. It’s sad because the food is otherwise very good…. but if this is there way to save a buck and increase profits it’s a pretty self defeating way to do so. I’ll never be back.
